Pros It is a budget friendly service that also provides budget friendly products. I noticed that the internet usage is quite slow due to the older technology, but that is what makes it so affordable. The phone call quality was actually quite impressive.
Cons U get what you pay for. The technology isnt cutting edge, the phones, though 'nice', are not anything special.
Summary If you want the frills of cutting edge technology, go pay 100 bucks a month and 300 bucks for a celli. If you want something that works just fine and you can adjust usage at the click of a button, pick this company. I was in the Target shopping isle trying to figure out which prepaid to go with. The other companies, for the life of me, have the most convoluted prepaid plans i have ever seen. Boost is simple...50 bucks a month gets u every thing. A buck a day gets u unlimited txting and 10cents per minute of talk +35 cents/day for unlimited internet. Or barebones pay by usage. It's as simple as that. And if you want to change it up (make sure you have the credits to do so if you want to upgrate!) just log into the account and do it.
Pros There aren't any. What's the point of cheap service that's completely useless?
Save your money.
Cons - Unreliable service
- Terrible customer service
They "lost" my number, right after I bought a $300 handset. (This was my second handset in a week - the first handset was registered to a different network!)
Summary Don't waste your money.
Pros none, read
Summary my phone broke the same day i paid my bills. I asked for them to repair it. they told me they dont repair phones. what they did they cancel my plans and keep my 50 dollars . I asked for a refund of my money or to make my plan continue. cause I dont want to pay a month i didnt use my phone they say no. they keep my money and told me i have to pay that month again. in other word i have to pay for that month twice to make my phone work again... don t use boost mobile better use criket
Pros nothing whatsoever
Cons phone service simply doesn't work
they refuse all refund requests
Summary Decided to try Boost Mobile a week ago. I looked up my address in their coverage map and it said "Best Service". Put down my $50 for a month of unlimited everything.
I have not had 1 single successful phone call. Approx 10% of calls = "network busy". Approx 20% of the calls were dropped in the first few seconds. For the rest, I could only hear every second or third word.
Don't even think about this company...$50 is NOT a bargain if the service doesn't work at all.
I asked for a refund and have gotten the expected runaround. Outside of that I'd say the customer support folks do try to be helpful and are courteous...and pick up the phone reasonably quickly.
Pros unlimited everything...talk, text and web
Cons Realy hard to talk to a live person. Can't receive or send texts the majority of the time. Sometimes you get your phone calls, sometimes you don't.
Summary This concept really appealed to me but the old saying is true...if it sounds too good to be true it probably is! I was having to call them at least once a week and was on the phone with them for over an hour each time. First off they would always check my zip code and say "we have good coverage in that area and no other problems". Then they would do a master reset and it would work for a while then back to the same old thing. The iciing on the cake was the last time I called I said I was tired of calling all the time and I was told I had only called twice!!! That was it. I was done. Don't waste your money! I was told that before I ever got Boost Mobile. Sure wish I would have listened!
