"Boost: Nice Unlimited Plan but Poor Service" on by stephenwalburg
Pros: Nice array of wireless phones and good unlimited pricing plan.
Cons: Technical service disruptions are the # 1 issue. Voice and data don't always work. Web speed is slower than sin if you want to check the web. Reaching Customer Service takes an act-of-god.
Summary: Boost has a defunct customer service department. Boost, like Sprint just appears to not get-it. I'm switching back to my reliable carrier. Costs more but cheap isnt always the best value.

"My Boost Mobile Horror Story" on by yosaintlaurent
Pros: Great Signal (in Worcester, MA area)
Cheap Unlimited PlanCons: HORRIBLE SERVICE REPS
UNDERHANDED TACTICSSummary: The customer service for the company is horrible. I had called and asked about a refund for money I just paid that day and to see about switching me plan. The first rep(REP ID QZ281626) said, I can not do refunds. Not that the company doesn't. So, confused on her answer I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor said I will give you a refund for the balance in your account since we can not give you a refund for the payment just made. She transferred me to the Processing Department. The rep there(REP ID 0011) told me that Boost Mobile does not give refunds. I said I don?t understand why the supervisor told me they would be its whatever, nothing anyone can do, I will deal. But then the first rep called me to harass me and say "haha, I told you you can't get a refund". I called back to complain and sent a email to them regarding it. The two days later a rep(REP ID CR894942) called me ask said we will give you a refund because of what happened. But once transferred to the Processing Department, the rep there(REP ID 0992) and her supervisor(REP ID 0684) told me that despite the fact I was called as told that i would be getting a refund that they could not give me one. I was switched back to customer service where the rep(REP ID 1337619) once again said yes you are suppose to be getting a refund and switched me back to the Processing Department where the rep(REP ID 10607) where once again I was told I would not be getting a refund. I emailed them about what amounted to a slap in the face they gave me by calling me and saying they would refund me due to there rep using my customer information to call me and then saying no not even 10 minutes later. I got a call two days later from a rep( REP ID CR527602) who said that Boost does not give refunds. I explained to her that I was told because of their reps actions I would be getting one despite policy. I then talked to her supervisor(REP ID CR554135) who told me that despite the fact that yes it is listed on my file to give me a refund that because the Processing Department and Customer Service does not share files and notes that Processing could not see that Customer Service had given the ok to refund me. She also said in a very mean way that no she would not talk to the Processing department to get me my refund. That despite being promised a refund by Customer Service(who can't give refunds but can give the ok to give them) that the Processing department did not have to give it to me and they didn't have to make them. They are set up in a way that one department can tell you that will do something knowing that the other does not have to honor it.

"The worst prepaid service going!!!" on by Cecxlia
Pros: THERE ARE NONE! You're better off with Cricket mobile!
Cons: 1. Cumbersome to text
2. Calls are dropped the majority of the time
3. Texting takes forever to go through
4. Voice mail can take days at a time to deliver
5. Coverage area is TOTAL CRAP
6. THE PRICE IS TERRIBLE!!Summary: Boost has so far been the worst cell phone carrier I have ever been with since getting my first cell phone five years ago. The calls are often dropped, the internet is downright TERRIBLE (the browser feels extremely out-of-date), texting takes way too long to go through, the coverage area is pretty much non-existant, and the list just goes on. Another big thing is that the selection of phones is very bad and is WAY too expensive. I mean Geeze Lo-friggin-uise!! If you're looking for a cheap no-contract cell phone service, I suggest going with Cricket Mobile if it's available in your area. $30/month for unlimited talk, text, long distance, and voicemail at Cricket is unbeatable!!
AVOID BOOST MOBILE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! YOUR SANITY WILL THANK YOU. -
"Get what you pay for." on by phineascomehome
Pros: It is a budget friendly service that also provides budget friendly products. I noticed that the internet usage is quite slow due to the older technology, but that is what makes it so affordable. The phone call quality was actually quite impressive.
Cons: U get what you pay for. The technology isnt cutting edge, the phones, though 'nice', are not anything special.
Summary: If you want the frills of cutting edge technology, go pay 100 bucks a month and 300 bucks for a celli. If you want something that works just fine and you can adjust usage at the click of a button, pick this company. I was in the Target shopping isle trying to figure out which prepaid to go with. The other companies, for the life of me, have the most convoluted prepaid plans i have ever seen. Boost is simple...50 bucks a month gets u every thing. A buck a day gets u unlimited txting and 10cents per minute of talk +35 cents/day for unlimited internet. Or barebones pay by usage. It's as simple as that. And if you want to change it up (make sure you have the credits to do so if you want to upgrate!) just log into the account and do it.
