Pros this phone is tough and i like some of the features on it.
Cons i got one a week ago and it would shut off at random times and i went and got a new one and this one is doing it too. it was ok at first but shutting off during a text or during a call or stuff like that gets annoying very fast
Summarynow the phone is doing it more often and i just got the phone. i recommed a different phone. ive had two in a matter of three weeks and both turn off after sending a text or while sending a text or while talking on the ohone. major kincks that are just pulling at my skin i change my review to 0

Pros durable, functional, easy to set up and navigate, keyboard quality and feel, speakerphone quality and sound quality overall, battery life, ability to withstand the elements including full submersion and repeated drops
Cons web browsing, while a welcome addition, is difficult due to screen size, poorly designed battery cover
Summary Several years ago Casio decided to fill a niche in the cell phone market that had existed since the birth of the technology: a phone that could be trusted to perform in a variety of real-world circumstances and conditions. Their solution was the development of what has become known as the G'zOne line of phones. To the best of my knowledge, this line of phones is the only one Casio produces for use n this country.
The Brigade is the third G'zOne phone I've owned. An interesting, but relevant, side note is that both of the previous G'zOne phones I owned are still in use daily by the people I gave them to and neither person has reported to me any problems with the phones. As other reviewers have noted, this phone is as close to indestructible as can possibly be expected from something that, at it's core, is a delicate piece of electronic equipment.
As someone who sometimes needs to use a cell phone in rain, extreme cold, hot, humid and dusty conditions there is no other phone that even comes close. At least not one with a full sized keyboard and mobile web access. But even if you don't require a phone with the the ability to withstand harsh conditions and treatment, if you are someone who happens to be physically big with big hands this phone will offer you an ease of use, especially when texting, that others on the market simply can't match.
A final positive this phone provides. In an era when even the highest priced phones are at heart disposable products, there is still a very active market for even the older G'zOne phones. In fact, a friend who recently upgraded to the Brigade from an older Boulder model told me he sold the phone on ebay for close to what he paid for it two years ago after signing a two year deal with verizon.
Pros amazing battery life, good sound, easy to use, great camera
Cons after even a few drops looks pretty beat-up, but it's realy nothing to complain about
Summary I was a little hesitant to make this purchase as I had never seen the phone before and had heard it was quite bulky. Either way I decided to buy it based on its durability, great choice. I play softball, hike, kayak, and work at a horse farm and underneath cars not exactly a good environment for a light weight phone. Going from a little tiny sonny walkman phone to this is interesting, but not having to worry about killing your phone the first day you have it is awesome. I?ve had it for a little over a month, battery life couldn?t be better, which was one of the things I was a little concerned about, seeing as my other phone would last 2-3 days this one definitely matches or beats it depending how much I use it. I?ve had it at the barn, under the car, on the diamond and everywhere else dirty and dusty which destroyed the speakers on my old phone happily, but this one no problem! It?s also been dunked a couple times on kayaking trips, and dropped a few? dozen? times at the barn in some pretty funky water, it still works great. Camera works great, sometimes the camera/recorder button on the front is hard to work with just because you never know if you?re getting the camera or recorder, but not really a big deal. Flashlight function always comes in handy when you?re crawling around under a car or searching around the garage for whatever it is you lost, if you?re like me. Everything as far as I?m concerned works great including the internet which I really wasn?t planning on getting but? it works great just about anywhere. Only thing I found a little less than favorable was after about two or three drops it looks pretty well beat up, but hey as long as it works I?m doing pretty good. If you drop your phone as much as I do and don?t like scratches I?d get something to cover it up, but otherwise I?m extremely happy with it. Its size is worth its sturdiness, great phone!
Pros Nice and Beefy, clearly built for a real mans hand.
Waterproof and drop proof. Built to mil-spec 810F
Great feel to it and solid construction.
Cons It sounds tinny and hissy while on some calls.
Its missing "G'Zone tools" which are great features offered on the other Verizon G'zone phone "the Rock"
Very over priced, which is to be expected from Verizon
Mandatory data plan
NO G'ZONE GEAR !
Summary This G'zone phone has so much potential, but Verizon dropped the ball leaving out the "G'zone GEAR" tools feature. These are the special features offered on the rock, (like pedometer, moon phase display, compass, tide display, etc). Come on Verizon, you're going to over charge us for a rugged phone with half the features that your other, cheaper phone has? When are you going to get your heads out of your rear end and start listening to your customers? The phone has a few bugs, but for a rugged QWERTY keyboard phone, this isn't too bad. You're on the right track, but you can do much better. Oh, and how about making it in something easy to see like scuba yellow, or bright blue, or even camouflage green. It isn't a corporate phone, so there is no reason to make it just available in the drab verizon colors like grey or red.
