"The amazing phone no one knows" on by cnetuser2199

Pros: slim, sexy, GPS, voice-activated dials, voice-activated TellMe search, GPS-based buddy locator, Fast, Slider

Cons: no full-fledged web browser like iphone

Summary: If anybody likes the Helio Drift phone, you will love this phone. It has gotten all sorts of negative reivews regarding its touch-sensitive keys and the unusual location of 'off' key for hanging up, but let me tell you this. The touch-sensitive keys are so freaking awesome cool. If you hate iphone-type touch-sensitive functions, then you won't like it, but it's very responsive and reliable. It doesn't go off like crazy just by simple brushing like some reviewers said. Also, the location of 'hang up' button in left spine works great and I actually love it that way. You can now hang up the phone instantly with your finger without having to take phone off your ear. This phone is just like Drift but it is much faster than Drift. Google GPS map loads up instantly and the voice-activated search is awesome.
The buttons are not hard to press at all like some reviewers have said, certainly not any different than Drift. It's metal buttons are so much cooler. Basically, if you are techonologically inclined and is good with gadgets, you will love it. If you are technologically-challenged, you don't want this phone definitely, just as you don't want iphone or any new phones with any cool functionalities. The only downside is that it doesn't have the full-fledged iphone-like web browser in big display. For everything else, if you want a slider, this is the best phone I've ever seen and used.

"It does everything (just very poorly)" on by ugoldix

Pros: Pros: hang on a second, I've almost got one.... Oh yeah! It looks cool!

Cons: battery life is not what they say it is. camera has a 3 sec. lag. phone developed a lag on screen and soft buttons after 2 months. texting is an utter pain in the rear.

Summary: I feel like Samsung "overdeveloped" the phone and tried to cram too many features in, compromising the functionality of every single one. The email sync is pretty great but other than that this phone has been a total disappointment. One real bummer is that the dictionary does not have a memory so it will not learn ANY new words that you type in. The predictive text also stinks b/c the phone was geared toward Korean kids instead of an English speaking market. IT DOESN'T EVEN RECOGNIZE THE WORD "TACO". That's how bad it is. There is no led light or anything that blinks to let you know that you've missed a call or a message. Unless you slide the phone open you'd never know. Even scrolling through your contact list is awkward and clunky. Lastly, b/c the call button is totally unmarked and in non-intuitive place, I have to explain how to make a freaking phone call to my friends if they need borrow my phone. LAME. Oh yeah, and be careful letting th ephone touch your cheek while you're talking, b/c it has a tendency to graze the mute button without you knowing.

I just wantd to add that in a nutshell, all the basic things you need to be simple and function well in a phone are awkward, inconventient and buggy as a trade off to having access to your myspace pages and the net. Also, if you use google maps once it'll knock your battery down to 1 or 2 bars i about 5 minutes. Net use is super draining too.

"Helio Is a powerhouse!!!!" on by 3Gfanatic

Pros: The slider is very strong. I had 8 Ocean RMA's in 2008. I downgraded to the Mysto.. The buttons are well placed where you can reach. The end button was moved to the side of the Device for the dedicated "back button" in easier reach for quick texting.

Cons: *QWERTY
*Speaker Volume
*Inability to change the Message Notification Tones
*Tell Me does not distinguish accents very well.
*No Garmin Mobile

Summary: This is a great phone to have. It is convenient to have for spur of the moment pictures and videos. You never know when one of your friends may do something crazy. Now you can show him and the world tomorrow on YOUTUBE how he acts when he is drunk. Otherwise I love it. I missed my ocean...But Im going on my 2nd year with Helio and I know the Ocean 2 drops in January..So I figure I can bum it out for 3 more months.

"Great all around phone...Love the design" on by jchoi721

Pros: Design, Helio interface, screen quality, small size

Cons: keypad is stiff, Very difficult to text or email fast.

Summary: Love the phone other than the fact that it is difficult to text or email on this phone fast. Slower typers will not have any problems...but if you text everyday, I would not recommend this phone. Phone quality is good, reception is always good for me(southern california area), love the slider, Internet is really fast compared to AT&T edge network.(previous user)
All around great phone but if I can go back, I would purchase the Helio Ocean just because of the full keyboard.

"Best phone yet from helio" on by randypolk

Pros: voice activated, TellMe, camera great, speakers are very loud!

Cons: Too touchy on the electrostatic buttons

Summary: THIS PLACE ROCKS!!! Retailers say, "Pick me..Pick me" Forget it!!!! Helio retailers submit their lowest price to AuthorizedMerchants.com, then AuthorizedMerchants tells customers who has the best price. It was too easy! I got my Mysto for $50 and I got a free car charger.
