"This may be late, but this phone stinks!" on by golfnpug2
Pros: Similar features to the Ocean 1. Looks & feels great.
Cons: No camera flash like the OC1.
Summary: I am working on my 4th Ocean2 since May09. The device keeps power cycling which the Ocean1 never did. The Ocean1 was/is a great device. Helio/Virgin Mobile just keeps sending me "new" phones. H/VM are friendly but won't acknowledge that this is a problem. I was told I must be in the small % that keeps receiving bad devices. BS. I've resisted the IPhone for so long, but that may have to be my next move. Per Helio/VM, I have to use a "series" of bad phones before they will let me out of my contract w/out an early termination fee. Guess what that # is? Four!
Is there anyone else having this problem? -
"From Experience... This is... "just a phone"" on by Kornshadow097
Pros: 1) It looks nicer
2) has a normal ear phone jack
3) Slightly larger screen (by a hair)
4) Wider keyboard keys
5) Half the price of the original at launch ($300)Cons: 1) SD card location is really bad
2) Not enough changes in programming... If any to be credited
3) No touchscreenSummary: This phone is more of a 1.5 Version of the Ocean. Nothing has changed except for the earphone jack in exchange for the SD slot convenience and a few cosmetic changes.
From experience, the Helio Ocean was one of the worst bug infested phones I've ever used, before replacing it 5 times. Hopefully this has changed. Other than the IE browser change (Although Opera Mini was an optional browser anyway...), with a multiple tab addition, there are no other changes in software/firmware...
I'd recommend finding something better. -
"looks better than ocean 1. cann't wait to upgrade..." on by yeosang
Pros: all of communication vehicles are there in your hand.
Cons: too thick. Can pantech make a thinner one?
Summary: so far loves Ocean. Sounds ocean 2 would have better deals with more features.

"I think it is an excellent phone." on by HITMAN4free
Pros: For keeping in touch with emails and facebook/Myspace this is excellent. Also watchin youtube is as easy as can be. Uploading to youtube is again easy as pie.The music player is great especially when you upgrade to a 2 gig card.
Cons: The battery life especially when your on facebook alot is really shortened.
Summary: With the lack of smart phones form Virgin mobile, this is the best way to keep in touch, and even the availability of Garmin GPS you cant go wrong for the price.
