"Great Service and Outstanding Customer Service" on by MacysMommy71
Pros: I love everything about this service! It was super easy to get started. Their customer service is the best I have ever experienced and I love the way I can manage everything about how my daughter uses her phone & it's affordable and worry-free.
Cons: The only con I can think of is that I didn't buy her a Kajeet phone sooner.
Summary: My daughter is now 12 years old and I didn't think she was old enough to have a phone. My sister bought her a Rumor for her birthday because she has had the Kajeet service for a couple of years for my niece and nephew but they are older. When we got the phone my computer was broken and I had to call their customer service number. They were so friendly and patient even though I had a whole bunch of questions. My sister just liked Kajeet just because it is a pay as you go service, but when I called to get the phone turned on, I found out so much more. I expected to use this phone on a trial basis because I was sure that Macy would be too young for it or I would end up paying too much, but after the customer service explained everything (and stayed on with me for about 45 minutes to make sure I understood) I ended up buying a plan with ten minutes and unlimited in and out texting that automatically comes out of my debit card every month. The person I talked to even gave me $5 free to get me started! Also, she set it up so that Macy can't use it at all during school except to call me or 911 and the same thing at night when she's supposed to be asleep. Macy loves the phone because already she is so fast at texting. I think that we have communicated more since she got the phone than ever before. I get texts all the time from her. How cool is that? She already has so many pictures on it of everything under the sun and videos of the cat. Plus, I don't have to worry about her losing the phone (or her getting lost) because I added GPS find a phone for just $10.
I have been telling everyone I know about Kajeet. I have never written a review about anything before but I want other parents to know about this too. Next, I'm going to get one for myself! -

"Love Kajeet and the parental controls" on by dtizable
Pros: Parental control. No contracts. Low monthly plans or pay-as-you-go. Affordable phones and high end phones. Family friendly. GPS option. Nationwide coverage. Friendly customer service.
Cons: None I can think of.
Summary: Kajeet is the only service we would ever use for your oldest. Reason 1: He texts a lot and Kajeet has the best unlimited text plans. Reason 2: The free parental controls, he needs to be controlled. Reason 3: No contracts and prepaid, we take his phone away for punishment sometimes. We got an inexpensive phone for him in case he abuses it. It had held up very well in the backpack and his pocket. If you plan on getting a Kajeet cell there's promo codes out there to save money. The best one we found was BARGAIN it saves 15% and free shipping. This is the link we used too http://www.kajeet.com/bargain Good luck, have fun, and happy shopping.

"perfect for my 10 year old" on by Sharon 255
Pros: parental controls, GPS and no contracts
Cons: none after I signed up for auto-refill
Summary: Got this phone for our ten year old last Christmas and it's been great. He's using it to stay in touch with friends (texting, mostly) and we're relieved to be able to reach him while juggling our daily routines. When we first considered getting him a phone, we heard lots of stories about nightmare bills and overages from kids texting too much. Did some research and found kajeet and so far, so good. It's a kid-friendly phone and we can avoid the overages that so many of our friends have encountered on the family plan. At first, I didn't like that I had to refill the account periodically, but after signing up for auto-refill, that problem is solved. We're trying out the GPS service now and can see that being even more valuable in the future. We love being able to set up a weekly phone allowance to keep him in check and also set it up so that the phone won't work during school hours. Overall, we consider this a great solution -- giving my son the ability to learn how to be responsible with a phone, me the security of being able to reach him, and my husband comfort about not spending too much $$. Would definitely recommend to parents leery of signing up for a family plan.
