"Makes calls and sends texts, has trouble receiving them"
3.0 starson by cupcakearmyPros: loud volume, thin size, super fast text entry, good battery life, I like the alarm clock feature
Cons: inability to turn key sounds off, cheap construction, problems receiving text messages and phone calls, lags, ringer likes to change its settings in my pocket
Summary: I have had this phone for several months, as I needed to replace my ancient K10 Royale and my terrible Marbl, and wanted to do so cheaply. I think this phone cost me $15, and I think it performs well for its price. Generally I've been pleased with this phone - the ringer is loud, the phone is super portable, and text entry is near instantaneous, the fastest I've ever used. However, there are several nagging problems that have become apparent the more I've used it. Maybe a week after I got it, I noticed that they keypad had become "mushy", particularly with the down arrow and the top row of numbers. This means that I have to press extra hard. It's to be expected, I suppose, from a cheap phone. Also, when I access my contacts through pressing on the corresponding letter key, there's often a few second lag, which can be annoying. Lately, I've noticed that even when I have the ringtone set to loudest and vibrate, people will call me and my phone will only alert me after the fact, when it tells me that I had a missed call. I might receive a text message hours after it's sent also. It's not too bad for me, because I'm not that concerned about missed calls. If you're anal about your telecommunications, however, I would recommend a more high-end phone.
