"Nice Phone for the Money, But Screen is a Bit Small"
Pros: Size, Weight, Push to Talk, Rugged, Comfortable to Hold, Speaker Phone, Nice Ring Tones, Clear Sounding Calls, Finds and Keeps Strong Signals, Price
Cons: Screen is a Bit Small, Number Keys Might be too Small for Very Large Hands
Summary: I got this phone recently because it was free. My wife got a LG speaker phone with PTT, and I was able to get this Kyocera for nothing. I got it because I wanted to try an open faced phone instead of a flip face this time.
I really like it. It's light weight, a good size, is clear when you're talking, and I love the speaker phone. Now I can just set the thing on my desk and talk to people while I still do other things.
The only problem I have with it is that it seems to have a rather small screen. I don't think many of the games I had on my old LG phone would work on this phone due to the size limitations of the screen. That said, the games might work better because of a better directional pad.
It has cool ring tones, I really like the "stock" tone called "Phantom." It's hip. It also has a nifty feature that is like a scaled down version of PC Paint. It's fun to play with when you're bored.
Overall, I really like the phone and would suggest it to anyone interested in a Verizon phone with PTT capabilities.Updated
I've had the phone for several days now, and am liking it even more. The ease of use is spectacular. I must be honest...at first I was worried I would miss my flip phone, even though I wanted the open face, but that hasn't been the case. I like the open face phone's ease of use and simple operation much better.
I am beginning to really enjoy the speaker phone. I bought a Belkin clip kit that came with a belt clip and one to put in your car. I just make the call, hit speaker phone, and put the phone on the clip and talk and drive totally hands free...I love it!!!
The ONLY other negative thing that I have found on the phone is the alarm clock function. My old phone (LG VX4400) had a very dynamic and changeable alarm system...this phone only has one alarm, and that alarm only has one tone...which I'm not particularly fond of.
Other than that, things are going extremely well with the little Kyocera!!
P.S. The G.I. Joe Theme Song ringer that I downloaded is TOO cool!!!

This phone has a known push to talk problem as quoted to me by Verizon Wireless. I have had to send back over a dozen replacement phones because the push to talk function did not work. These are phones that were supposed to replace broken KX444 phones. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with Verizon Wireless trying to troubleshoot the problem. Good thing they are still under warranty, but they cost me a lot of my time.
