• "ok phone, terrible battery life!"

Pros: the actual phone is not bad for the price

Cons: I get less than 24 hrs battery life on standby

Summary: I bought two of these (one for me, one for the wife). Both are being returned today! The phone itself is pretty good for the price, but neither one that I bought will hold a charge! It says 9 days on standby, but I can't even get 1 full day on standby. If you purchase one SAVE YOUR RECEIPT!

I had to return the first Marbl I recieved because its battery wouldn't hold a charge. They replaced it with a new phone that seemed to do better for a while. That was about 1 month ago. Now, the new phone's battery is holding a (supposedly full) charge for barely 24 hours before it goes dead (I charged it twice overnight in the last two days).

I also was disappointed at how bad and how few were the ringtones the phone came with. It also has very bad and limited (4) display options for the wallpaper and the screensaver. I am not very picky about those things, so if I complain it is pretty bad.

Now I have to figure out if I can return the phone again now that I have thrown away the packaging. Also, it is interesting that the phone (which went for $29.99 one month ago) is now selling at a cut-rate $19.99. Were it not for the battery problem, the phone would be tolerable, but that problem seems to be a design defect, not just the case of one or two bad batteries (see other reviews). As such I cannot recommend buying this phone even though it is fairly nice looking and and otherwise serviceable.
