The Bottom Line We had some serious design complaints with the Kyocera Switch Back, but the QWERTY keyboard, youth-friendly features, and decent call quality should appeal to the text-crazed teenager. It may not be super stylish, but the Kyocera Wild Card M1000 is a solid messaging cell phone for Virgin Mobile customers. Just don't depend on the speakerphone. The Kyocera X-tc brings a fresh update to Virgin Mobile's line of basic messaging cell phones, but there are some minor design and navigation issues. The LG Rumor2 is a great option for a messaging phone, but LG missed the opportunity to make it both new and improved. The Samsung Rogue is a great multimedia touch-screen messaging phone for Verizon Wireless customers.
