"Have had this LG Decoy 3 days and LOVE it.!"
Pros: Easy to read screen for time, incoming messages, etc., Voice Commands easy to get to and use while Driving
Cons: Sometimes there is a delay after hitting the Clear (Back) button.
Summary: I just returned the Samsung Glyde after keeping it 3 weeks and picked up this LG Decoy. I absolutely LOVE it. I was frustrated with the Glyde because the touch screen was so unresponsive and hard to read and use while driving, this phone is welcome change. This is what I love about it:
* Feels great in my hand and against my face when talking. Very easy to hold.
*The glossy front screen is easy to read (I thought the glossy mirror might make it hard to read, but it is bright and MUCH, MUCH easier to see than the Glye.
*Easy to open, dial, text, etc. I chose the LARGE Font for the Messaging and Dial Nmbers so I can glance at it and read quickly. I chose the Normal for the Menus/List so I could see more at once.
*Love the Large Screen Area on the front.
*Great interface. Much better than most Verizon phones and I've had a lot. More fun to navigate. Easy to get to everything.
*I LOVE the voice commands button right on the number pad. Can slide open and hit that button without even looking at the phone while driving. Much safer than trying to dial using the Glye. I almost wrecked twice trying to use that phone.
*The lock function works great. When you close the slide phone it is locked and yo7 cannot hit a button and accidently dial your boss.
*The Bluetooth looks like it would be uncomfortable, but after using it a couple of times I fell in love with it. And everyone I have talked to said it sounded like I was talking on the regular phone instead of a Bluetooth.
*The bluetooth charges at the same time as the phone AND has a separate charger.
*Can charge the phone using a separately purchased USB PC connector.
*20+ Ringtones, nice calendar, can set 4 shortcuts by hitting right on the scroll button, very nice camera options, Speaker Phone button right on the front of phone.
*Surprised to find Notepad and many other options under Settings and Tools.
Cons:
I have only found two Cons so far with this phone and I can live with these since everything else about the phone is so great.
*There is sometimes a delay when hitting the Clear button to go back or the OK button.
*The center button that scrolls up and down the lists is a little hard to get used to and I'll hit up or down when trying to hit the center position for ok...but I am learning to control it better with practice.
I think this is the best Verizon phone I've ever had. Every day I love it even more.

Loved your review. So much info. You answered questions I had. Most people don't go to the extent you did. I do, if I'm in the mood, take time. Maybe I'll do better now, knowing how your review helped me. I don't have the phone, but am thinking about it.

It worries me that the both of you are so quick to jump on the soapbox to lecture this person that you didn't even read the review correctly. It clearly states that the previous phone, the Glyde, was the phone that almost caused the wreck.
Please, before you decide to point out the shortcomings of others, take a minute to make sure you know what you are talking about.

It worries me that a big part of your review details how hard or easy a phone is to use while driving. You even admit that you almost wrecked twice. Please put your phone down and pay attention to the road.

Why are you using the phone while driving? Since you've almost wrecked twice while yapping on the phone instead of watching the road, I'd worry about hitting someone and getting sued into oblivion.
I hope none of my family has the misfortune to be around you when you do wreck...
