"Sounds great, totally functional and fun"
Pros: Easy to use QWERTY keyboard, easy to navigate menus, bright displays, good sound quality
Cons: Not easy to switch typing mode from Abc to Word complete while writing messages
Summary: Got this phone from Circuit City from a very helpful sales person. I was looking at another LG phone that had qwerty in the flip phone style and wasn't sure about the size of the candy bar EnV. I have to say that I am VERY impressed with this phone - I have sent a number of text messages and even if you only send a few a month, the abilty to use the qwerty keyboard RULES over anything else. I configured a Jabra headset in about 10 seconds and the sound quality from that, the handset and the speakers on the phone are all excellent. The layout of the phone makes making calls easy without opening it up. Once open, life is even easier! The menu layout is very easy to navigate and the screen is bright enough to be seen even in bright sunlight. I had to enter in all of my only contacts (old phone wouldn't sync)and while it wasn't what I would call "fun" to type in the 35 or so names and numbers, it was a heck of a lot easier than it would have been on almost any other phone. The keyboard is small (heck, it is a phone after all) but the buttons give good tactile feedback and made the chore easy. There are plenty of ring tones available and the micro-SD card slot means that I can transfer over pictures from my laptop.
I hope this was helpful to those choosing a new phone.
