"Really, really good, but not quite perfect" on by Russell Gould
Pros: Text messaging almost perfect
Cons: Java's not perfect
Summary: There's a lot to like about this phone. I work at a place that does not allow cameras of any sort at the work site (don't ask). As a result, I have to look carefully. A friend has had one of those Nokia 6800s which I have admired for quite some time. I began my hunt for one of those and found the LG F9100. I have not been disappointed.
The only issues that I've had appear to be Java-related (some games don't work) and a few interface burps: Sometimes my bookmarks present intriguing names, and to get to some common punctuation marks -- like an apostrophe -- I can't figure out how to get there without closing the phone and hitting the symbol key. Other than those minor issues (and I do mean minor), I am pleased as can be.
And all my nerd pals go 'oooooh' when they see it in action! How can you beat that? -
"Text Messagers Dream!" on by PrepaidWireless
Pros: Slider keyboard, Nice screen view
Cons: No Speaker Phone, Kind of Bulky
Summary: This phone is a Text Messagers Dream! I enjoyed texting using the easy to use QWERTY Keyboard! Great feature! If you receive any voice calls, the speaker is not loud to hear the ringer in a busy venue (i.e. shopping in a store). It would be a Great Phone with a louder speaker.

"Only good for typing text messages" on by cc227
Pros: Keyboards makes the phone fun to have and quick to use, there are lots of quick shortcuts to navigate the phone effectively
Cons: "Instant Messaging Phone" but it always "times out" when logging on to or using messenger services. Bulky, no phone clip and too big to stick in pocket, hard to use key pad
Summary: The phone is easy to manuever and the keypad is great to text on. The keyboard pad won't work in certain areas of the phone such as the calendar and the internet and you have to use the number pad. The number pad is too small to type phone numbers in and makes calling people while driving hard. It can connect quickly to the cingular internet and download games, graphics, and ringtones quickly. Receiving multimedia messages is another good aspect of the phone, but it will resend the same messages to you at random times as well. The instant messaging aspect I was excited about, but when I used it, it would only successfully log in 1 out of every 10 tries. Once you got into AOL Instant Messenger, you can only fit about 30 contacts. Also, it will sometimes only send you parts of the conversation you are having with someone and cut off in the middle. The memory is good too. The phone book can hold a decent amount of contacts but not as much as other phones, and the phone has good alerts to let you know when your memory in your inbox is full. Although the calendar does not hold many dates unfortunately. I wish this phone would have more battery. One call can almost knock you down one bar. The car chargers get eaten up and break easily by this phone- I am on my third car charger and have had the phone itself replaced once.

"Great Keyboard (But not for Business)" on by gordonlai
Pros: Wide, easy to use keyboard.
Cons: Calendar and other accessories hard to access.
Summary: The keyboard is why I bought the LG to replace my Motorola Smart Phone. If you text message or IM a lot, this one is for you. Be prepared to be disappointed if you want it to replace your PDA. Calendar, Calculator, To Do List, Voice Recording, and more takes plenty of joystick moves and clicks just to find them. You can't use keyboard to make Calendar entries! What's up with that? Too many menus for shopping online, unless that's what you want a phone for.

"Don't Buy This Phone" on by asdf193
Pros: texting is okay
Cons: the number buttons, especially zero, are really hard to push and battery life is terrible. q
Summary: I have to charge my phone every night, which I never had to do before. the buttons overall are difficult to push, and texting becomes the preferred means of communication over talking because the phone gets really hot against your face really fast and texting is good. also, it doesn't show the messages you send in your outbox so when you send a message and the response comes back a long while later, you can't see what its in response to, and a couple of times ive had to ask friends what i said in the message. look for a different, thinner phone. seriously
