"Best Phone for Sprint Service" on by MarkS2202
Pros: Great look and feel, sound quality, loud ringer, camera, micro SD, tons of features, and so far great battery life.
Cons: Vibration needs to be longer and more powerful to be noticed.
Summary: This phone is probably the best phone available for Sprint service right now. In terms of features nothing even comes close except the A920 and that is roughly the size of a brick. The phone is light and thin, not much thicker than the A900, and gets much better reception and battery life (I am getting nearly double the talk time now). So far this phone is superior to my old A900 in every way possible. Too early to talk about durability but LG does make quality products so I'll have to repost about that. I really like this phone and my only gripe so far would be the somewhat inferior vibration ability.

I have totally grown to love this phone, the best I have owned yet hands down. Initially I hated the vibration setting but have grown accustomed to it (it is strong but the pulse is short). I am still impressed with all of the features and how seemlessly they work. Durability remains solid (only dropped once from my pocket in sitting position) as expected. Best of all the battery life has increased over the past month. I rarely turn the phone off and even when I do not plug it in at night I go through the entire next day and am left with 2 bars (of 4). Go buy one already.Updated

At the nearly three month point my initial review of this phone stands at a 9.5. I have grown acustomed to the "inferior" vibration mode; which is powerful but short in duration. I am continually amazed by the battery life in this as it has increased over the last 8 weeks; even when using the multimedia functions. Battery lasted 6 days on standby while on vacation (since I was not accepting calls - only returning urgent ones). Ringer volume and sound quality are tops and navigation is also a breeze. The casing and paint can also take some abuse as I do nothave a cover and this is in impeccible shape still. This highly customizable feature packed little phone is still in my opinion the best phone available for any service right now. It is unquestionably worth every penny; and the only other gadget I have ever said that about is my Zen MicroPhoto.
My only gripe is the lack of earpiece volume when in a crowded place like a bar; needs to go on a 1-8 scale like the A900.Updated
Well, after five months I can truly say that I am impressed with the workmanship of LG products; this being my first. After 5 months of decently heavy usage the paint is still flawless, the buttons are firm, and the closure is authoritative. I assumed the Fusic would stand the test of time being heavy for its size but I am truly flat-out impresed. Battery life is still astounding and the sound quality of ringtones gets me compliments all of the time for its clarity at high volume (even with the vibration on). I finally got to use the built in mp3 player when the battery in my MicroPhoto dies at the gym and it worked better than I thought. Overally still a 9.5 Go buy one already. -
"I'm so happy I went out on a limb and got this phone" on by zfyreangel
Pros: Amazing sound quality, Bluetooth, voice dialing, different picture settings, video recorder, different face plates, fm transmitter
Cons: Difficult to pause music and read text messages, controls on front are rather sensitive
Summary: I love this phone. The pros far outweigh the cons on this little thing. It's more compact than my last phone and packs far more punch! There are three different picture quality settings along with different color settings (4). You must have a steady hand when taking the pictures, but I've found that to be true of any cell camera.
The MP3 player is fantastic! I read another review where it was mentioned the 1GB card did not work properly in the phone - I have had no such issues. I purchased a 1GB card last night and it works beautifully. I have both mp3s and pictures on it right now. I've also been listening to the music on and off for 5 hours with no blips or stops, my battery is still showing full charge.
You get good accessories with this phone in the box. There are four faceplates that come with the phone: black, blue, pink and lime green. They also include a headset for listening to music that has a button on it to answer your phone; I guess it doubles as a hands free headset. I've only used it for listening to music; there is a volume control on the headphones by the clip you may use to attach it to your clothing. The phone comes with a 64mb microSD card; it doesn't hold a whole lot. I'm definitely glad I invested the extra $80 to get a 1 GB card. I have 185 songs on it and its no where near full.
Using this phone on the Power Vision is a lot faster than my last phone. The sales person at Sprint informed me that the bill would be a little more per month because of the upgrade in the system, it's really worth it. You can also back your contact list up to an online server for a fee.
One of the reasons I selected this phone is for the Bluetooth capability. I have a Bluetooth earpiece from my previous phone and didn't want to waste it. The voice commands on this phone are amazing! You don't have to program anything, you just say "call (name of person)" and the phone will find the closest spelling to what you said on your contact list. If you have more than one number listed for the contact it will ask you which number to call. I had some problems with the voice commands on my last phone; this is a very pleasant surprise!
I do suggest you go to a Sprint store and get your hands on this phone before you buy it. They will let you play with it, surf the web, take pictures, etc. I can see how this phone wouldn't be for everyone, but it's definitely for me. -
"The Best Phone I Have Found" on by Boone1020
Pros: Lightweight, Very Robust Features, Bluetooth, FM Transmitter
Cons: Potential for Scraitching and Damage is high. Wish it could play my own .mp3's as the ringtone.
Summary: I switched from the Treo 650 to this phone after having very little success with the email feature. I was looking for a phone that I could use my contacts from Outlook and possibly my calendar too. I have used phones with bluetooth before without being very impressed, especially the Treo's Bluetooth compability. On the Treo I would have to wait anywhere from 3-10 seconds for the bluetooth headset to connect. That feels like an eternity when you are trying to answer a call knowing that the person is sitting there in silence. The Fusic has non of these problems with bluetooth. I have paired with and used the Motorola HS 850 headset without any delays or pairing problems. As for the contact management, I couldn't be happier. I merely have to drag and drop from my Outlook contacts to the phones OBEX icon in My Bluetooth Places. I do the same for the calendar. Although it doesn't sync like my Treo this system is easy enough for me and only took minutes.
Now on to some of the other features that I really like. I am a business professional with a family and most of the dinky games and other pay as you go features don't really pertain to me. I have an iPod that I use for the bulk of my music but I do like the ability to play some of my .mp3's on the phone. It is a particular benefit with the FM transmitter. It works FAR better than the transmitter on my iPod. Choosing the FM channel for broadcasting could be a little smoother process while listening to music. Right now you need to exit the media program and enter the menu>settings>FM Transmitter> menu then change the channel and relaunch the music player. A little annoying but I will deal with it to keep the transmitter. The downside to the .mp3's is that I can not natively use them as my ringtone and I will not pay more money for a crap version of a song I already own. I have since found a great work around for anyone interested.

The voice recognition is great on this phone. I find it faster than looking up the contacts the 'old fashion' way. The Treo had a terribly slow voice recognition program that just like the bluetooth feature was best avoided.
The camera is ok, but I found the placement of the lens a little less intuitive than I would have liked. The screen tips down from where I need to point the camera. I really like the feel of the buttons and the menu is relatively easy to navigate. I do find it annoying to be directed so easily to the online music store when I only want to play my music and hit the wrong button in haste. I haven't used it as a modem or even taken advantage of the EVDO speeds. My house is on the fringe of the EVDO network and it keeps jumping into normal CDMA internet speeds. Maybe someday I will benefit from this though.
My overall opinion for this phone is to get it if you can afford it. It is rather expensive. I have been very impressed with the phone and am continually surprised by how much I can do with it. -
"Nothing but problems..." on by eflat440
Pros: lots of features
Cons: doesn't ring on many incoming calls (gets voicemail notification), powers down while online, no separate ring/alarm volume
Summary: as a consumer, be sure you read ALL reviews of a phone before buying! most of these reviews are very positive, but i've had my FUSIC for 3 weeks and have had many problems with it, so be aware that all have not been so lucky.
1. reception: the phone i got only rings 2 out of every 3 calls...in other words, i'll get a voicemail notice and the phone didn't ring. this has happened with all different carriers incoming. irritating to say the least when my wife calls and says "why didn't you answer your phone, i called you 3 times"...
2. powers down while online: while downloading a web page, it will occasionally power off and back on again...this is mentioned in some reviews below.
3. no separate ringer/alarm volume: this is such a simple concept but the phone does not have it. i've been thru every menu and it does not differentiate. in other words, when ringer is on vibrate, alarm vibrates. ringer off, alarm is silent. i travel for a living and i use my alarm often, but don't want to be awakened by calls. IF YOU USE THE ALARM FUNCTION OFTEN, i would NOT recommend this phone.
4. volume fluctuates: it seems that callers' voices get soft for 20 sec. or so and then return to normal volume. this has happened from different callers with different phones, and thru the handset as well as earpiece.
there are so many good features about this phone (the size, bluetooth, fine mp3 player, EVDO, FM transmitter, etc etc...) but they are overshadowed by the problems stated earlier. i may have gotten a lemon, so keep that in mind, but i know from experience that the more "stuff" a company crams into a little phone, functionality is always compromised. shop carefully, and i hope this helps your decision. -
"SUPER PHONE" on by norrismann
Pros: BRIGHT SCREEN, BLUETOOTH, LONG BATTERY LIFE AND ON AND ON
Cons: NONE WORTH TALKING ABOUT
Summary: THIS PHONE FOR THE PRICE IS 2 TO 3 TIMES THE PHONE OF ANY OTHER ON THE MARKET. I HAVE HAD AT LEASE 20 PHONES AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PHONE I HAVE EVER HAD THE BATTERY LIFE IS UNREAL THE SCREEN IS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL AND THE BLUETOOTH PART IS THE BEST I HAVE HAD I HAD THE SAMSUNG A900, A920, AND THE A940. I HAVE USED MY JABRA JX10 AND PLANTRONICS 640 HANDSETS WITH ALL 4 PHONES AND THE FUSIC SOUNDS BETTER AND HAS I LONGER RANGE THAT THE OTHER PHONES I DON'T KNOW IF THE PHONE USES A DIFFERENT KIND OF BLUETOOTH CHIP OR SOMETHING BUT IT IS ALOT BETTER THAN THE OTHERS, LESS STATIC AND CLEARER THAN THE OTHERS. THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT THIS PHONE IS ALL THAT AND THEN SOME
