"Good phone and features but not for me"
Pros: Nice style not egg-like; good keys; nice screen size; great call features
Cons: Hard hearing ringing calls; no camera; only one menu style
Summary: I got this phone for free with contract from Einstein PCS just a few hours ago. Before I even left the store I was already disappointed with the phone.
The phone I had just before this was an LG VX6000, with U.S. Celluar. The VX6000 is a great phone. I expected the same with this LG phone, but was let down.
You only get 5 wallpapers and with no camera you're pretty much forced to get images/wallpaper from the internet. There's fish swimming that appear when you turn the phone on and off. I'm not sure if you are able to customize that feature I haven't found a way to.
The thing that convinced me to go back to the store and change phones is when I used my home phone to call this cell phone I could barely hear the ringer on the highest level. The ring tones come out through the earpiece which is obviously muffled when the phone is closed. My friend had a Samsung VI660 and that phone's ringer came through the earpiece as well but that was way louder than the LG G4050.
This is a great phone for new cell phone users, and for those who want a basic phone with good call settings.Updated
Ok so Im not going to go change phones, The LG G4050 grew on me, it doesn't have a camera but I already have a great digital camera. And, it's a good phone, no flaws with it yet.Updated
I was going to change the phone but after a while, it grew on me. It doesn't have a camera but I already have a great digital camera. And, I'll just download stuff from the net, it's 9 cents a minute.
