"Quite Impressed Maybe Not Need iPhone Later" on by sunsandsurf

Pros: Better than most, if not all, smartphones I've owned, and small enough to fit in shirt pocket.

Cons: Other than high price, I have yet to find any CONS.

Summary: I am quite impressed with this new LG Prada phone. I've had it about 3 weeks, and yes, it is pricey. No debate on that.

I've had at least a dozen smart phones in the last few years including big and small 02s and Treo, and at least 6 PDAs including Palms, Sony, etc. I am happier with this Prada than any of them. It seems to have done the best job yet of combining phone, PDA, and music player, along with a camera and other toys. The screen is incredibly nice and colorful. The screen is also enormous and takes great advantage of the real estate available on front. No extra space along the edges. Just nice big screen, in small package

I want the iPhone but it won't be available in Asia where I currently live until next year. So I picked up the LG Prada in the meantime. Wow, it is very impressive. The touch screen interface is beautiful and user-friendly. It is quite easy to find any feature.

This Prada phone has one feature that the new iPhone will not compete with. SIZE. This smartphone drops into my shirt pocket or pants pocket and I don't even know it is there. The iPhone will never do that. It also beats my IPOD with an FM radio.

I have my 40GB IPOD video with all my music, but I've now started leaving it in the car and carrying the Prada. The Prada has a speaker which actually makes it more useful than the IPOD. It also beats my IPOD with an FM radio.

The MP3 player interface is beautiful. The one button touch to reach the MP3 player is great.

Seems LG spent some $ building the software and it is great. I only hope developers will come up with more add-ons, skins, and themes.

Reviews I've read seem to be very enamored with the iPhone, so probably did not give the Prada a fair shake. Having said all that, I'm still waiting to get a good look at the iPhone. But it will be very, very tough to let go of this LG Prada.

"This is no clone - announced 2 months before the iPhone" on by dml489

    Pros: Released 1st

Cons: Feature set is not that impressive

Summary: The link to this review was labeled "LG's fashonable iClone". How can LG copy a product that was announced about 2 months after they announced this phone? Apple should officially change their phone's name to iClone since they are using the exact same design as LG's Prada phone.

"LG Prada Phone is the best, and Apple copies Prada phone" on by tomynator

Pros: Call Quality, Easy to use w/o learning curve, UI, MP3 player, and Prada name, and BT, and 3G technology

    Cons: nothing, nothing, nothing,

Summary: I bought this prada phone from Ebay. it's expensive, but it's prada. it cames w/ prada leather case w/ logo on. I'd rather want to have a fashion phone like valuable, no other can have it. lol. I was amazed by this phone. Easy to use all UI features, and MP3 player/Camera/Camcorder are amazing. 2.0 Bluetooth, and Call quality is excellent. They even have some pre-games built in. I don't get scratches easily on surfaces. it's pretty amazing phone so far. By the way, basically Apple stole LG Prada phone, and trying to use their name and sell the stolen technology from LG. I think LG korean developers are smarter than Apple developers. That's my opinion.

"LG Prada was copied by Apple" on by matrix2004

Pros: quality, will be on best network in U.S.

Cons: People think IPHONE will be better but its not.

Summary: Apple stole the design of the phone a created the IPHONE but many people don't believe it. Regardless, this phone looks awesome and it's coming to Verizon this Summer. It will have 3G and a flash interface similar to the one found on the newer LG phones such as the 8300 or 8700.

"Cool looking phone" on by dshats

    Pros: Touch screen display, shiny

Cons: GUI is weak, not very easy to use. Functionality are limited

Summary: This phone is for people who want to have cool looking device.

    - GUI need a lot of improvements (sometimes simple task needs a lot of steps through navigation menu)
    - Address book is not really comfortable to operate
    - No QWERTY keyboard.
    - Sync software is a joke.
    - So many small things, which really make you think this phone is a draft. LG just tried to make it to the market before competitors (IPhone, HTC, etc)
    - No drivers/software exist, not even on LG website

You should expect better for the money
