"Good idea, but better alternatives" on by ScoutDad

    Pros: Great concept

    Cons: Goofy looking

Summary: My 11 year old son took one look at this and said it was "goofy" looking and refused to have anything to do with it. Reminded him of a Tellitubby. I exchanged it for a very simple (and free) standard model that allows you to limit incoming and outgoing calls to a phone book that is password protected. I programed speed dial, and it works just as well.

"Great for piece of mind" on by jkussery

Pros: Parental controls, kids can't go crazy

    Cons: A bit too limited.

Summary: I love that my kids are just a couple touches of the button away. They also can't go crazy going over our minutes with the preset phone numbers. I wish there were more than just 4 (5 if you count emergency number) presets.

"just as described" on by iblsibls

Pros: ease of use and tracking

    Cons: poor display screen

Summary: this is perfect for my nearly blind daughter and 95 yr. old grandfather. the buttons are easily programmed by any texter, and are easy to use for anyone with visual/motor issues. i use the chaperone program and always know where my loved ones are.

this is not for the preteen need-to-be-cool kid. the design appeals to younger ones who like the green alien look and funky ringtones. if your child wants to download anything or call more than four friends, it's not the phone. the 911 works great and can be reprogrammed to any number, making the total 5.

this is for the folks who want their child or elder to be able to call important ones, but not everyone. the tracking system makes it worthwhile for me. without chaperone i would not buy this phone even though it is cute!

"Nice set up for young child" on by policepaladin

    Pros: Limited dialing ability

Cons: Number recycling brings unwanted calls

Summary: The Migo allows us to contact our 7 year old daughter when she is out and about with her neighborhood friends. We like the limited dial out feature, having programmed in our cell phone numbers and other relatives. The emergency button is nice, but I wish the phone was GPS enabled. My biggest gripe is that the number issued to the phone was recycled and the phone receives calls from unknown persons from time to time.
