"Acceptable but quirky"
Pros: Sound quality, software, data access
Cons: Trouble getting a voice connection, low resolution interior display
Summary: This phone looks like a flip phone version of the LG Chocolate and it has many features, as well as a solid build. The black, which I have, is like a Japanese lacquer and the pink is more red in person.
Coming from a Samsung A900, the first thing I noticed is that the interior display was about the same size, but the resolution was very low (220x170? vs. 320x240), which might explain the difference in price.
Sound quality is great, though getting a connection is much less sure than it should be. Sprint has very good quality (I've been a customer for 8 years) but the quality doesn't show up in the connection.
Software quality is much better than the Samsung. It seems as though someone actually tested the phone to make sure the software was finished and usable. I wouldn't call it exactly easy to use but it works well.
3G data access is exceptional. Even when voice calls are difficult, the data access shines. Video, of course, can always use more bandwidth, but it works well. Sprint has GPS navigation software on the phone and it works quite well, helping you find gasoline, motels, and even coffee.
Overall, the phone is better than acceptable, while being a bit short of excellent. Then again, I think a product at any price point should reach for excellence, not just the most expensive.
