"Ok unless you want to make calls or check voicemail" on by JinLIC
Pros: texts recorded as conversation, QWERTY keyboard, large screen
Cons: calls don't connect quickly enough; checking voicemail is a hassle; have to slide open the phone even to choose a contact to make a call unless you want to scroll all the way through
Summary: This phone is only good for texting. It takes a long time for calls to connect, so whoever you call is left saying "hello? hello?" before you can say anything. The worst part is that when you check your voicemail, it doesn't connect until halfway through the message, so you have to flip the phone open in order to listen to the message again. I am over the 30 day mark, so I will have to pay to get a new phone, but it is worth it. This phone is awful.

I had the call connection problem too. I took it to an AT&T store to get it fixed, and it turns out, it wasn't broken.
The problem is the phone has a limited amount of memory. So, if you have too many texts in your inbox and outbox, you will experience a delay in call connection, exactly as you did.
To remedy this, simply clean out your inbox frequently. I notice my phone got a little glitchy when I had 200 messages in both my inbox and outbox, but it takes so long to go in and delete 200 messages in my inbox, and then go and delete the other 200 from the outbox, so I would clear them out when they got to 100.
I found this quirk to be rather odd, considering it IS a MESSAGING phone... but at least it has an easy fix... right? -
to find a contact without sliding it open, you can use the touchscreen to search.

I have the same issue and AT&T won't replace it.

I've had the same problem, and so have several of my friends. Terrible phone.
