LG Octane (Verizon Wireless)

Pros: Nice looking phone, battery seems good so far

Cons: I cannot hear people well enough in conversations. They can hear me fine. Volume turned up to max. Ringer too quiet also, volume turned up to max. Why did they make this LG with a 2.5 head set jack when the rest have the standard 3.5???

Summary: Apparently, cell phone manufacturers and service providers are trying to force us into smart phones when we don't need them nor want to pay for that pricey data package every month. I'm very disappointed in the choices of feature phones this time around.
I read these other reviews after I ordered this Octane, and was cringing about the $35 "restocking fee" if I found it to be a lemon like so many others. Fortunately, it doesn't have the echo problem or the breaking up problem, nor has it turned itself off. I just got it yesterday though...
Texting is nice, the biggest problem is VOLUME! Not loud enough when conversing, not loud enough when ringing. Pretty important features for a phone to be lacking in. I wonder why they designed it this way? I am going to keep it thus far though, and try to make friends with these short comings.
