"Great basic phone"
4.0 starson by PrairieJanePros: Slide out QWERTY keyboard, colorful display, easy navigation
Cons: No easy access to call history, touchscreen menus sometimes too small to hit accurately
Summary: I am really enjoying this phone. Unlike the CNET review, I find the QWERTY keyboard very easy to use despite the size. The touchscreen on the other hand can be difficult to hit the very small areas in order to navigate menus, etc. My small-ish 10 yr old was frustrated trying to play ringtone samples w/o setting them instead because the area was so small. I think with experience it will get easier but a large man may be frustrated with the small target areas!
I don't access the internet on this phone so can't speak to screen quality for that but the camera is decent and the display is bright even in sunlight. Most of the menus are easy to navigate and the phone is highly personalize-able. The only complaint I have is that you can't immediately access call history from any of the menus. You have to load the dialer and then pick "history" from an icon at the bottom of the digital keypad.
Another feature I really like is the touchscreen lock - it locks automatically in standby and in talk so you don't have to worry about pocket dialing or about ending the call if you touch the screen to your face.
So far I'm finding this phone to be really intuitive and easy to use and call quality has been excellent. Predictive text has worked really well - the writing pad is awful but is so small it's not worth using anyway, more of a gimmick than useful tool. Overall, while not a smartphone the Rumor Reflex is a great value for a basic messaging phone.
