  • "A good phone for awhile but after a while the worst"
    on by KatlynnElyzabeth

Pros The look of the phone and the qwerty slide out keyboard was why I got the phone. It has a large memory and I love the different designed back that comes with it.I would suggest getting a SD card to hold more pictures if you like taking them.

Cons The first week i got the phone it was good, then things started going downhill.Even if you get the smallest amount of water on the phone it stops working. The screen changes colors it drops calls and if you text someone continuously is turns off.

Summary I dislike this phone just for the fact that mine went "haywire" after i got a tiny little bit of water on it.When ever i took pictures they always looked discolored. Now my phone turns off whenever it wants basicly,I will be texting someone and it just turns off.The keyboard still works fine as does the features and stuff on the phone. If your in a roaming area it will automaticly ask you if you want to let it roam or whatever it means by that.Mine will also randomly connect to the internet without me pressing buttons. Also it calls people at random,so if you are looking to keep a phone for its full two year contract i would strongly suggest not getting this phone.

  • "POS - DON'T BUY IT"
    on by psstoffagain

Pros It has a qwerty keyboard so texting is a breeze

Cons I have had keys fall out, batteries fail, picture mail lock down & not send pics for days on end, it shuts off on its own & now the graphix have my phone blinking constantly with them looking like they have a watermark through them.

Summary To put my complaints into perspective. I have had cellular service for 12 years and only had 3 phones. I take very good care of my stuff and have never dropped my phones, put them in the toilet or any other amazing things that people do to phones that arent supposed to happen. I take care of mine. so this phone, when I got it, I was excited. I upgraded from the original rumor. Never had a single problem with it and so trusted the manufacturer. HA!!! mistake. I didnt buy the insurance. So now I have a phne that is a POS that I cannot use and dont get another one until february. GRRR I am mad as a hornet. Sprint ( OMG YES!!) wouldnt even help me when it broke within the first 30 days. Said I had to send it back to LG..Switching carriers. Been with Sprint for 12 yrs. This is how they treat their long term customers. Sell them crap and dont stand behind it

  • "The exposed keypad dials when carried in pocket."
    on by redsaga

Pros It is a sturdy, well-made phone. The Qwerty key board is one of the best.

Cons I got excessive bills with this phone because the exposed keypad was dialing almost every time I moved. To lock the keypad took 15 clicks -- too laborious to do every time you want to put it in your pocket. I trashed the phone and the carrier.

Summary Great phone with one overwhelmingly disastrous feature -- spontaneous dialing. I was at a baseball game with my son, holding a beer in my hand when my son's phone rang. He looked at me and said,"You just called me". I signed with a carrier for $39.99 a-month. I received charges for $149, $93, and so on. The Rumor 2 would self-dial almost every time I moved. I was always way over my allotted minutes. To lock the keypad on this Rumor 2 takes fifteen clicks. That is too laborious a chore to do every time you want to put it your pocket.
The carrier and I eventually resolved the billing problem, but they refused to issue me a different model telephone. I went to another carrier and now have an LG Rumor Touch -- a wonderful device.
Cnet, you need to do more than just read off the features of a phone; you need to test drive it to give a credible review.
The only satisfaction I got from the Rumor 2 was the sound it made when it hit the wall of the dumpster.

  • "Great Phone for Text Messaging"
    on by cjeezy1991

Pros The threading messaging feature. It keeps a folder of each person the user texts. So if you forget what you sent that person, just go to the folder and read all the messages.

Cons The picture quality is 1.3 and it has no video capabilities.

Summary For the record, the phone is nice and sturdy. I love the phone personally. I have it on the Virgin Mobile network and its awesome. The one thing I do not like as stated above is the non-video capability. I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for something basic because that what it is. I have had this phone for five months and I actually find something new about everyday. Its a good phone for all ages and once its in your hands, you'll fall in love with the phone like I did :)

  • "LG Rumor 2"
    on by Valula66

Pros I purchased a Samsung M330 cell phone and had nothing but problems with it I ended up getting a LG rumor 2 not even a month after and I absolutely love it I give it a five star rating!!!!

Cons There is nothing I don't like about it!
