"I love this phone."4.5 starson by hugggs57
Pros: Navigation is the killer app. It gives spoken turn-by-turn and readable maps.
Querty keyboard is easy to use, good for texting.
Long battery life.
Opera web browser.
Cons: Confusing menu structure and inconsistent use of keys, same as other cell phones (except iPhone).
Summary: If reviewers want an iPhone, they should buy one. This $89 (from Virgin) phone delivers what USERS want while saving money by leaving out what REVIEWERS want. It doesn't have a touch screen, video nor 3G (EV-DO) because you don't need them; they just run up the cost. 3G is too slow for tethering. The Navigation app is a must have.Got POP3 working. Disregard above complaint.
My only complaint is that I couldn't connect with my POP3 mailserver after giving it the correct parameters. I'm a handheld developer. If I can't get it to work, you won't either.
Based on negative reviews, I was ready to send it back unopened. After playing with it for an hour, I fell in love. It's almost everything a cheap cell phone should be.
