"The fun of a touch phone but functionality of keys" on by jewels1313
Pros: Touch screen
QWERTY Keyboard
Battery Life
Call QualityCons: Smudges on the touch screen (is this a con??)
Camera (functionality not quality)
Paying for the "extras" (Verizon's problem not the phone)Summary: After a lot of research (weeks and weeks), I finally decided to purchase the Voyager (Titanium). I have not been disappointed in these 2 months.
This turned out to be the perfect phone for me who wanted to play with the touch phone, but when she was in a hurry, just needed to push the buttons. The adaptation to a new phone went very quickly for me because when I "FAT FINGER" the touch screen (which doesn't happen that often), I can just open up the keyboard.
The keyboard has made texting a breeze.
The battery life has lasted an impressivly long time considering all the touching I do just to mess with the phone. Call quality has never been a problem. I also rarely drop calls which is a welcome refreshment from my previous phone which dropped 60% of my calls at one point or another. The Voyager is also extremely fun to customize with sounds, pictures, fonts, sizes, displays, etc.
One downside that I have seen is the camera. The quality is fine, though I wish LG would have come with a flash. Also could we have more than the standard 2.0 mp, the completely touch "LG Dare" phone has a 3.2 mp camera, so we know the technology is available to the company. My real problem is my own ability to press the camera button in one single push without holding down the button for longer than a second or the movie function will begin (though I must say I've had lovely 3 second videos of my dog sitting there wondering where her treat was). Also the camera take about 3 seconds to actually respond to the button if pushed correctly. My last annoyance is Verizon Wireless treating to strangle every dime out of their customers. Some of the coolest features like VCAST, MobileTV, Visual Voicemail, Navigation, and others cost a pretty penny for monthly subscription. I have used the navigation (which mercifully allows you the option to pay for the service for one day as well as monthly). It's really cool and helpful.
Other cool things are the MP3 player and the dual speakers. They are ok, but it still sounds like you are playing music through your phone. Speakerphone is pretty good, and the microSD card can read up to 8 gig I think.
The size of the phone isn't too bad, but it is a little thicker than I'm used to. This extra thickness makes the phone feel sturdier. When I flip open the phone, I don't feel like I'm going to snap it in half.
All in all, I'm really satisfied with my choice. The Titanium version of the Voyager changed more than just the color. I would suggest this phone to my friends.

I have the ORIGINAL voyager ....When the phone is on vibrate is is almost impossible to hear...A friend has the new titanium and it is much louder!
I will be getting the new one when my contract is up!
I had the original plan with all the extras from Verizon but it was so expensive and I really only used the email and web...
I had that on my old phone and asked verizon if I could do the same thing on my voyager and not get the premium plan...
I have the regular plan with umlimited messaging and added VCAST to get the web...
It was much cheaper so you could try that if you don't want all the premium features... -
This was a great review, as I too have been researching for weeks and have read too many reviews than I would actually like to acknowledge (hahahahah). So thanks for the great input and I think that I'm going to get this phone this week when my plan is up!
Thanks again
