Pros: Great phone and I've had it about 4 months.
Cons: I had to set Auto NAM to "on" which allows it to use roaming when the signal goes bad. Bad part was I didn't know this so some calls kept getting dropped in my apartment cause I had it set wrong. Oh well. Seems dumb to offer you to set it to "off"
Summary: Something people may not know, is that if you choose to send someone a text as a picture message it'll allows you to input up to 8000 characters of text (each slide/screen holds 1000 characters). You can use this without having to insert any pictures. I use this when I expect to type in a lot of text. However, you'll have to get used to how to read it when the text appears on 8 different slides/screens--worth it though.
Also, for viewing your email using the application Vemail ($4.99 mo.) allows you to view pics in emails as an attachment & you can read .docs and .txt files (the text only) regardless of how long the text is (I read a 41 page .doc on Word without any trouble). Not bad for $4.99 mo. cost. If you want it, Vemail is available through "Get it Now" option and do a search for the name. Oh, it also offers you to send email as "speak email" so the person will get it as a .wav recording--instead of reading your text they'll be hearing what you said.
One annoying thing is 1 of the 2 locks it has to "lock" the touch screen (so you don't accidently activate the screen by just grabbing your phone). The lock I'm referring to is on the lower left hand corner of the touch screen itself -- all I have to do is grab my phone in the wrong way, accidently touching that lil lock and the screen activates. To avoid this I had to buy a cell phone holder so the screen can't be accidently unlocked like that. The other lock is on the left side of the phone and it's a switch you turn off/on, but it can be overridden by accidently touching the lock/unlock button on the touch screen, so again you'll need a cell phone holder to keep the screen from being accidently unlocked (especially when that happens a lot! That can be annoying!!).
If you buy this Verizon phone, shop around! I see the price listed here at Best Buy ISN'T a "best buy" at all. I got mine via the Verizon website itself for only $150 with a 2 year contract and it had a $50 rebate. Why pay $549 when you can get it way cheaper? $549???, OMG... :x
If you text (not sent as a picture message), it has various built in emoticons, graphics, and animations (animated graphics) you can include in the message. It also has the ability to format text style and text color & size. I only wished I could this when send it as a picture message...awww rats. Still like it though. It also lets you cut/copy/paste text in the message.
