"intuitive, single-purpose device" on
Pros: Intuitively obvious functionality: good design means you don't have to spend 6 hours figuring out how your new toy can save you time! If you want a phone to TALK to PEOPLE, this is great. My work requires travel & I've had no problems with digital on
Cons: Limited ring tones? Who cares? Set your phone on vibrate. A loudly ringing cell used to mean "I'm important" now it just means "I'm an inconsiderate jerk."

"Great phone!" on by normann_sanitet
Pros: Network connectivity
Small & compactCons: Not an Android or iPhone.
Summary: I haven't used this phone in years, but I couldn't resist! Going through my old phones to turn in to the VA for "CELL PHONES FOR SOLDIERS" I started clearing out my phones. I came across my old LG VX3100 and it brought back memories. This little Verizon phone would connect with the network in a weapons security vault where other phones (Cingular, ATT, Sprint, others) would drop the call as soon as you crossed the threshold, much less walk in or sit at the desk. Even in its day it wasn't a flashy phone, but it worked perfectly for what it was intended to do. Alas, technology marches forward.

"Beware of this phone and of the insurance" on by PPhelps74
Pros: Its great at keeping water out, and dropping the phone.
Cons: However, some have a defect. When you unplug charger it pulls the insides out of the phone.
Summary: Of course verizon sends you to insurance. That's fine if insurance would just send you a new phone due to defect, but they don't. They want you to actually file a claim pay $50.00 for damage that you didn't do. It's a defect of the phone yet you have to pay for it. That is unfair.

"had the phone 5yrs and still works great" on by rraak4
Pros: No nonsense phone, does just what I want it to. Send and receive calls. Small but comfortable to use.
Cons: None after 5 years.
Summary: Works at home or roaming. Good sound quality, better than some higher end phones. Easy to use well lit display and dispite its size very comfortable on the ear.

"Used on two different companies" on by j.norman
Pros: No frills added, great for a basic user
Cons: Small screen
Summary: If you are looking for a phone to call snf do basic texting this is your phone. I used it while on Alltel. It was basic but a good phone. It didn't have very good service outside of Alltel coverage.
My dad then used a verizon version. It has much better coverage and he loves it. He just likes to make phone calls and recieve. He does not text on it. It's basic, smiple, small and travels well. The coverage is better on Verizon compared to Alltel.
