"intuitive, single-purpose device"
Pros: Intuitively obvious functionality: good design means you don't have to spend 6 hours figuring out how your new toy can save you time! If you want a phone to TALK to PEOPLE, this is great. My work requires travel & I've had no problems with digital on
Cons: Limited ring tones? Who cares? Set your phone on vibrate. A loudly ringing cell used to mean "I'm important" now it just means "I'm an inconsiderate jerk."

This phone is like a dinosaur now, but I had to comment on it since I'm moving on to newer phones meant for yesterday.
This phone is one of the absolute best out there. The earpiece is loud and the quality is excellent. I like the plain silver design... and though it's small, it's not SO light that you don't realize it's there.
The vibrate is phenominal... I can actually hear it and feel it from another room... this is true when I leave the phone on a glass table or hard surface. Though, if in my pants, somehow I am the only one receiving the enjoyment of knowing it's going off...
This is a great phone... but I'm after camera phones now, but it will take some time getting over the LG VX3100.
