"Terrific basic tri-mode phone with great battery life, excellent call quality, speaker and no camera"
Pros: Tri-mode; battery life; speaker; call quality; no camera
Cons: No Bluetooth
Summary: FINALLY, a basic tri-mode phone with great battery life, speaker, call quality and no camera. This replacement for the VX4400 is exactly what I have been waiting for. I don't want a camera because I am unable to bring it to the local courthouse. This is the best basic Verizon phone hands down. The only thing missing is Bluetooth but the speaker is excellent and is almost as good as Bluetooth. If you're looking for a terrific basic phone, with no camera, look no further. If it had Bluetooth, it would be perfect.Updated
I recently took my 4650 to the local Verizon corporate store to get my firmware updated. My phone wouldn't take the update. The tech said that some of the early models can't be flashed. She gave me a brand new one (FRU) and transferred my phonebook to the new handset. The current firmware is version #3. I still think this is an excellent basic phone without the bells and whistles that most people don't want or need.
