"Great features for a great price"
Pros: all the bells and whistles needed.
Cons: So new its hard to find 3rd party items.
Summary: I changed my service from T-Mobile to Verizon and my phone from E105 to the VX5200. The phone has normal styling and appears to be your run of the mill cell w/camera. Bascially it is, but with a few added features. The full color external display is great, it displays the time and date along with other system messages (caller ID). for me thats an important feature, it tells me who is calling before i answer. Ok, well, on to what i like about the phones functionality... First off, its crystal clear, works great even on 1 bar of signal. I read on one of the previous opinions they are saying there is a high pitch sound, I don't hear it, nor does my wife who has the same phone. They must have defective phones and should have them replaced. The camera works like any other and I rarely use it. There isn't a movie option or feature, but i have a video camera for such things. The voice menu coupled with the speakerphone is great! You can enable the speakerphone and press the voice commnand button on the side and just tell the phone what you want to do. I use it all the time, granted i can't use it on the highway because i drive a jeep sahara with a soft top. the highway noise is a bit too much to hear the phone. But when i am working at my desk or need my hands free its a super feature. the display is bright and crisp, it looks just find. The phone has a nice solid feel and is a little larger than my older phone, but it doesn't feel like cheap plastic.
I have been looking for a USB data cable with software to allow me to download the PIX's to my PC without doing a wireless data tranfer. I am sure that is soon to come.
So, my overall rating is that this phone is great for the low price (I paid less than $30 for the phone without rebates). would i get it again? yes. would i recommend it to you? yes. would i recommend it for a gadget freak, no.
