"Awesome compact feature loaded phone." on by nv cache daddy

Pros: Long battery life, Speaker phone, Voice dialing, Awesome call clarity

Cons: Location of the speaker phone

Summary: The best phone I have owned. I was looking for a phone with exceptional call clarity. I found it in the LG VX8350. Since I use this phone as my main business phone I needed exceptional call quality and coverage. An added benefit is the voice activated dialing. I do not like to take my eyes off of the road to dial phone numbers while driving. I also love the long battery life. I charged my phone 10 days ago and it still has half of a charge left. during those 10 days I have used a little over 100 Min.

"My favorite Verizon phone ever" on by GotMBA

Pros: Features, call quality, battery life, screen, everything

Cons: None I can think of, but could be thinner I guess

Summary: I have had dozens of Verizon phones over the years, and this is my favorite ever. I have had good luck with the LGs in general, but this is my hands down favorite. The EnV is incredible, if you want the larger size and full keyboard, but if it is just a phone you want this one is the best.

My pet peeve is cell phones that sound like the cell phones of 10 years ago - tons of background noise, hollow, tinny sounding, etc. When you are on this phone people don't know you are even on a mobile. It has an excellent microphone and blocks out the background noise better than any phone I ever had.

To be fair, I do not use the music or video features, so you will need to read elsewhere if that is what you are looking for. I already have an iPod so I was looking for a phone that is great at being a phone, and this is it!

Oh, and after dropping it about 10 times it only has minimul scuffs and still works perfectly. Much better than those "pretty boy" phones that scratch and break the first time you use them.

"Solid phone, but some specific complaints." on by gabewintner

    Pros: Features. Music player.

Cons: A couple ... read on.

Summary: Won't focus on the positives too much, nothing too remarkable here. Pretty decent battery life, about average of the phones I've had, I'd say. Reception seems fine. Music player is responsive and pretty feature-full, and the sound out of the phone's speakers is pretty good, no matter that they're located in the back.

And then there are negatives, some of which are middling, but it's good to point them out in case they'd be important to anyone:
-The vibrate is on the weaker side.
-The phone doesn't beep to let you know that the battery is running low. Instead, it just shuts off. That can be a little startling in the middle of a phone call without a chance to warn the other party. Bizarre that this feature was left out, when it's always so standard ... on the other hand, this is balanced a bit by a small and hardly useful feature, but still nice: the phone beeps when it's done charging, so that you don't overcharge the battery. But it only beeps once ... and who cares if you're charging it overnight, which I so often do ...
-There's no way to lock the exterior music buttons, and I've had the music player go on a couple of times just because the "play" button was depressed for long enough while the phone was in my pocket. Hasn't happened too much, but ...
-The battery door is hard to get off, and feels like super-cheap plastic. Afraid the latch will break at some point ...
-In general, the phone has a cheap-ish look and feel. Nobody will mistake this for a high-end phone - even though it kinda is, at least in the features! The outer plastic is also slippery, the phone can fall out of your grasp pretty easily. And, the seam between the two halves of the clamshell is pretty dang tight, which makes it near impossible to open the phone with one hand (you really need to hold it with one hand and put a fingernail into the seam with the other). The color of the phone is also dang strange. Black, it's definitely not. Not exactly gray, either ... sort of a dark purplish-gray. There you have it.

"Great call quality, signal strength, volume, keypad feel firm and responsive" on by crudis01

Pros: Loud; clear; very strong signal, responsive keypad

Cons: somewhat cheaper feel (phone felt excessively light, may just be advances in tech)

Summary: I got this phone two weeks ago as a replacement work phone, the same time I ordered a Moto Z6tv to replace my personal phone. Out of the phones I was allowed to choose from for work, this one seemed to rate the highest.

Boy have I been pleasantly surprised. I originally got the Z6 for its supposed signal strength (I just sent it back today), but it was the 8350 that showed at least one, sometimes two extra bars of signal strength. My home has always had spotty cell availability, but my 8350 works with at least two bars at worst even in my basement workshop.

I am a frequent texter and found that the keys have a wonderful responsive feel to them, and I find I can easily text or dial with one hand without needing to look.

Call clarity is wonderful, with people unable to tell I am on a cell. Voice dialing does a great job as well. Speakerphone is great for the relative small size of the phone.

Battery life for me has been incredible, but I also purchased an extended battery, as I always do. Charge times are much, much faster than phones I have owned in the past. This was also true of the Moto Z6 I had purchased and returned. I guess that have turned the corner with these for sure.

I do wish that the 8350 had a mini usb connector for its charger as the z6 did, but outside of that I am pleased with all the configurations.

The camera on the phone took surprisingly crisp pictures, even at 1.3 meg. Much, much nicer than the garbage produced by the z6.

I found it very easy to transfer ringtones I made to the phone and had them loaded in a matter of seconds. Transfer speeds have obviously improved.

The bluetooth also worked well and I found no issues from the 3 headsets I have tried, a Plantronics 510, Nokia BH-800, and Jabra JX-10.

I highly recommend this phone to anyone looking for just that, a phone. It was load and clear (and as I am hard of hearing, I can't state this emphatically,) keypad firm and responsive, stellar signal strength, and very nice feel in the hand. As with most LG's I expect this one to last forever (I have a tendency to treat phones a bit rough.)

"Unbearable Speakerphone Screech (with possible solution)" on by BuzBacarat

Pros: low s.a.r. rating, good speaker when not screeching, small, nice display clarity

Cons: unbearable speaker screech, no flash on camera, subject must be completely still to get a good photo, only a couple of bars in populated areas (but haven't lost any calls yet)

Summary: The screeching speakerphone situation could be remedied my turning off "voice clarity." I did and it seems to have solved the problem. The display is colorful and nice. Functions are easy to set up. Games are fun. Speakerphone is nice and clear when turned up. Over all a nice phone. So light and compact I have to reach into my pocket to see if it's still there sometimes. Aside from the screeching situation mentioned above, I like the phone
