"Good phone at the $79 price"
Pros: Upgrading from the non Bluetooth i580, the i576 is smaller, lighter, and definitely less bulky.
Cons: The blue background makes it hard to read the main screen forcing you to choose the 'none' option. Tha antenna is difinetly an issue. At first it was coming out on it's own and flopping around. Finally I got it to stay in and now it won't come out.
Summary: For the full price of around $300 I'd have looked for a different phone. As an upgrade the phone is a good choice. I was unhappy with Sprint/Nextel as the $79 come on turns into $189 with all the assorted ( and not mentioned ) upgrade fees and taxes. With a $50 mail in rebate ( 6 - 8 weeks ) the real price is around $139. The phones (4) are used in a dirty, dusty environment on a working ranch as was the i580s. The dust proof, moisture resistance is a must and the phones seem to be fairly rugged. The blue tooth works well, automatically linking with the ear peice or vehicle bluetooth devices. The lights on the front that blink, blue for a bluetooth connection and red for a message, are a nice feature. with the exception of the antenna the phones have worked well and I like the slimmer size.
