"i885 Phone has manufacturer defect - Beware!" on by Christal-Richards
Pros: Nice look, big screen, good camera, lots of functions.
Cons: After 10 months of use, my inner display turned upside down (a common and known problem). Four weeks after that the inner display turned white. I cannot see my contacts, or anything. Junk!!!
Summary: Piece of junk. Motorola is not apologetic about the KNOWN manufacturer defect with the phone and says I have to pay for repair. Google i885 upside down display and you will see how many others have been ripped off by Motorola's $450 phone.

"boost mobiles most official yet" on by HarlemHeat
Pros: just better than the 875
Cons: so far none
Summary: gotta give this one a 10.
this phone is boost mobiles best yet. the overall design of it is hot. the headset is clear. your callers hear you crystal clear, and they cant really tell if you're on a cell. the speaker phone volume is loud as well.
phone also offers a wide array of features, and you offers wallpaper on both internal, and external screens. which are both bright and crystal clear. the 2.0 megapixel camera takes great pics. the outside has a rubbery feel to it, to increase the grip of the phone. its unlike anything on the market. it comes with the memory card, usb cord, headphones, and all that. (you might wanna consider coppin a bluetooth earpiece) and bluetooth is also on this model.
i have no clue on what the cnet editor meant by it was "too clunky" because you have my word, its a rather thin regular sized phone. in fact if you, like i have owned a i870/875 nextel/boost phone, the 885 is THINNER, and more light weight than those phones. i haven't loaded any mp3s or anything on to it yet, i mainly bought it cause i deserve the best, and i can't really f**k with a plan phone.
the 870/875 phones that were released prior to the 880/885 have problems with their motherboard. a lot of ppls screens locked up, or phones wouldn't come on due to this. so if you're considerin purchasing a boost mobile phone, cop this one. you just cant go wrong. -
"excellent phone, excellent clarity" on by tjoseph30
Pros: better place for the speakers
Cons: none that i know of
Summary: i have had this phone since it came on the map. i have have other iden phones in the past and i must say that this is a much better unit for boost. the position of the speaker when on walkie-talkie is better just like on earlier models. love the look, thew rubber feel helps for better gripping. better screen contrast. faster downloads also. heard there are even some pda types in the works. hopefully with the same technology like the i885.

"nice phone, very nice" on by paramvir
Pros: nice good looking phone with bluetooth
Cons: cant figure out much of it though
Summary: I have never used iDen. Hows the data connectivity over iDen? going by the latency rates at macandmobile.com, GSM seems pretty high on latency while connected to data. i wonder if iden is better...
