"Great for pressing buttons you didn't mean to."3.0 starson by llzzy
Pros: Great response time, never freezes, battery lasts FOREVER, sleek design - both in terms of actual product design and the layout... Pocket sized, great sound... etc
Cons: Silent doesn't really mean silent, it means silent when I feel like it and vibrate when I don't.
And the touch screen is full of fail.
Summary: I've been an owner of one of these phones for about two years now, and I've actually really liked it. In the beginning it was one of those "HEY guys! Check out my new *all* touch screen phones!" relationships. But obviously the newness died off and my opinion has gone down hill. I listed a lot of pros above, and they are all true. It's a very reliable phone... however, one of the cons I listed screws over the multitude of pros.
I don't really care about the silent mode malfunctioning 75% of the time... vibrate is close enough to silent that I have never gotten in trouble for my phone ringing when it shouldn't be.
It's the touch screen that gets me. Worst. Touch screen. Ever.
This phone only has 6 real buttons - Home, Power, Volume Up/Down, Camera Mode, and Voice Command mode. Everything else you can do with the phone, relies on this useless touch screen. The icons aren't that small, but for the life of me, I hit the wrong thing about 90% of the time. I'm often going into my address book when I'm trying to send a text, or I try to hit the back button and hit something else... The sensitivity is out of control, when I am on the phone, I often lightly hit the screen - which acts as if I'm pushing a button. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally muted myself or put the phone on speaker phone. I've even accidentally hung up on people...
But wait... there is worse. In fact, I probably shouldn't even get started on texting. I am not a "pro" texter - I send maybe one or two texts a day. I bought this phone because of the full qwerty touchscreen keyboard. But I cannot express how BAD this touch screen keyboard thing is. I used to use it just to show off to my friends, but I have reverted BACK to using the iTap mode with the touch screen dial pad, due to my inability to type ONE typoless text message in the two years I've owned the phone. Texting for me is nothing but a nightmare.
Thanks to this phone, I will never own a pure touchscreen phone again.
