"finally, something i own and am happy to review" on by ntheg111
Pros: very fast internet. speaker volume is suprisingly loud. bright display. very slick design
Cons: no hold option when playing music. fringerprint magnet. feels volnerable
Summary: my nokia was stolen (or lost, then eventually stoles) on friday. boy was i upset, but i realized that it might be a blessing in disguize when i saw the Motorola Razr Maxx.
with the smooth interface and fast internet, this is definatly a phone for those who need to surf, but dont want a bulky qwerty.
now although this phone is NOTHING close to a mp3 player substitute, hearing music on it is far from bad. u should definatly use earphones, because speaker is very... how you say- mono (but pretty loud)
the 8X(!)camera is very decent for a phone (only 2m.pix). even the when in closed phone mode (small clock screen) the photos camera takes some great shots, and even has some nice features (monotone. negative, lighting ect.) the only bad part is the cameras loading time, which can sometimes take a whopping 5 seconds to get ready (not for bird watchers or meteor gazers)
you can check your emails straight from the msg menu, without actually going into your mail clients site (e: yahoo.com)
google at main menu is also a very nice addition.
OVERALL: the great features on this phone, and slick design, are enough for me to give up Noka's friendly interface.
i give this phone a 9
(this is my first review! i hope you will find it usefull)Updated
phone DOES have a hold option while playing music, but it isn't a switch. you will need to hold the smart key for 3 seconds -
"10 out of 10 on all accounts for this phone" on by johnnyzap
Pros: 10 for every aspect of this phones attributes.
Cons: 0 no cons at all
Summary: I purchased this phone a fortnight ago and I give it a 10 out of 10 on all accounts. Design, build quality with hardened glass for the case and camera lens, aircraft aluminium for the case instead of plastic, which would be too fragile with this phones thickness, and ease of use is unmatched. Just the feel of the phone in the hand and during general use indicates the superb build quality. This phone is tops.

"good phone, if its an upgrade from what u had b4" on by bradplatten
Pros: screen and useability r all good
Cons: management of music and photos
Summary: Living in Australia, we only just have 3G networks, so those features are a novelty for now.
My previous fone was a SE K750i, same 2Mp camera and music handling, but the SE craps all over the Maxx.
U can't zoom or manage pics on the handset, and I've been trying to run mp3's converted to a lover bitrate to improve capacity, but the phone is only taking some info accross.., making it very difficult to manage 20 albums.
Look and feel of the fone is great, but to repeat, if u want some manageability on the handset itself..., keep lookin

"Great Phone, Have in Europe as Maxx V6" on by moscow_expat
Pros: Great phone overall. MP3 player works with both mono and stereo bluetooth headsets.
Cons: External controls for MP3 player a little lacking. 3 second load on the video camera
Summary: I live in Europe where this phone came out as the Maxx V6. I had been waiting for the new Nokia N76 to be released when my old phone finally died out on me. I was a little hesitant to buy the Maxx and thought I would still wait for the N76, but have been very happy with the decision to go ahead and purchase it.
All standard features work great: MP3 player displays album art and plays through all bluetooth headsets, external light works for both still and video, 2mpx still camera takes great shots, second VGA camera for video conf works great and also has a shock resistant shell.
Only drawbacks are that the video camera takes about 3 seconds to load and playing the mp3 player with the touch sensitive external controls underneath the exterior screen. These controls work, but take some adapting to. However, it should also be noted that you can also control the player externally by using other exterior buttons (headset volume and smart button) just as easily. -
"an Awesome phone. Doesn't work in N.America" on by AirStrike X2
Pros: Packed of features; 2mp camera, video calling, flashy lights, glossy surface
Cons: Does not work in USA.
Summary: This phone has the MOST you can get out of any phone out there in the Razr family. It tops all the other slim phones by features. The bad thing is that it is a Tri-band phone. It does not have 850 frequency and therefore will not work in N. America! But I am hoping soon it will be provided in USA with 850 band.

... Not to mention, this thing is equipped with nVidia's GoForce 4800 GPU. Pictures & Videos look awesome on it's 2.2" screen.Updated
