"Faulty, poor user experience, Just plain bad!"

    by a.roxburgh on February 21, 2007

    Pros: Moto Ring Tone

Cons: Faulty software. Quickly deteriorating battery life. Plastic coating peels off. Software is not user friendly. Heavy and thick form factor. Plastic cover on camer falls off. And more....

Summary: What a pitty. At face value the design looks great but that's all that this phone has to offer other than a funky Hello Moto ring tone. My phone was well looked after and within just 7 months here is a list of whats wrong with it:
    - Plastic coating peeling off
    - Battey detoriated down to 'just' having enough charge for 12 hours (and I dont make all that many calls in a day)
    - Plastic cover over the camera falling off because when the flip is open, the stoppers use the plastic cover instead of the solid phone case to prevent over opening
    - Faulty software, all sorts of faults from; not connecting to the network (requiring removal of the battery to reboot the phone) to, not allowing you to access your contacts
    - Poor user experience (bad software design)
    - Poor/average PC sync software and no auto sync even though your connected
    - Heavy phone and thick form factor (the 3G version). Why they couldn't make it like the Razor is anyones guess.
    - The '2meg' camera takes very poor shots, bad colour, poor focus, grany - more like a .00001meg camera quality.
    - Poor reception resulting in constant disconnectionns from the network (see above) and even shows full strength connection bars on the display even though its not actually conected to the network.

All I can say, back to Nokia and never again for Motorolla. This was my first and last Moto Phone. Sorry guys!

And the problems I have listed above are apparently 'common' as when I recently changed to a Nokia 6288, the phone guy listed most of the above without me even mentioning the problems.
