"Great improvement on V3"
4.5 starson by Charlie_VPros: Great as a phone and occasional web browser
Cons: More battery, more better
Summary: There are numerous review, but I honestly think some people write them out of boredom, not having seen the phone. Let's admit it, the RAZR was the iPhone of its time. Looking at clamshell offerings these days, you really cannot do better than a metal phone with e sturdy hinge that has great call quality and high speed internet access. V3XX meets all of those criteria. Need more than 3.5 hours talk time? Ummm, use a land line.
The signal reception is excellent on this phone. The screen is much more vibrant than most other clamshells (if a bit small). The battery is adequate. The voice quality on both ends is as good as a quality land line. The camera is SUPERB for MMS and phone storage. I don't know anyone who depends on their flip phone to take family photos for printing...
I do agree, however, that it approaches bizarre that this is not a quad band world phone since it would probably cost ten cents to put he right chips in it. Having typed that, I can't recall the last time I left the US for any destination that did not have typical US carriers and, if that is part of the deal, then I am glad we got this phone (so I don't have to spend money on needless vacations).
If you liked the original V3 or, better yet, are actually replacing an original V3 (as I did), you will be very impressed and pleased with the V3XX (an very unimpressed with the plasticky competition).
