"PRETTY SLEEK AND STYLISH FUN WITH UPDATED FEATURES" on by puggy052

Pros: There's no delay in the buttons like the old razrs. You can text as fast as your fingers will go!
Better batter life than most razrs
Updated features with really nice sprint menu
    pretty nice camera
    Nice sound quality

Cons: Not enough battery for all this phone can do
    No flash for Camera
    A bit pricey

Summary: I got this phone about a week ago. Its a really nice Razr and my favorite out there to date. It has a really big vibrant screen inside, one of the best I have seen to date. It also features the new updated Sprint menus which happen to be pretty nice even though I dont love when companies start messing around with phones. The camera is pretty good but after my last LG that had a flash its a little bit hard to get used to not having awesome pictures everytime because of bad lighting. In good lighting situations the camera is pretty nice with its 2MP cam. The battery is much better than the old Razrs out there but if youre like me and going to be using all of Sprint features like Music and GPS etc combined with a good amount of talk time and texting the battery still wasnt as great as I would have hoped. My old LG could last through the day... This phone I sometimes had to charge already come evening time. The phone has a real nice look and feel to it! The sound quality is great and plays all my music really nice and very easy. Its an all around pretty great phone and I would seriously love it if it had just a bit more battery and a flash. It would be perfect then. The phone is a bit pricey though I got a discount after calling and telling them it was just above my budget right now. I hope whoever gets this phone enjoys it! No problems so far!

Just wanted to add one more thing about the outside screen. Its a really nice size.. not too bright and besides for maybe using it when my music is playing I didnt really have much use for it...but you may disagree... you can read your texts, see your pics, recent calls etc from the outside screen... not sure why you would want to but its there!

"These phones have a serious defect that is not fixed." on by glenmm

Pros: With all the problems I've encountered there's nothing good I can say about this.

Cons: Alarm & calendar features don't work and Motorola and Sprint both pretend it's fixed with 'resetting'. They won't admit they're selling defective phones to customers.

Summary: Alarms & calendars features won't repeat as they're supposed to so they have to be entered each time and then it's iffy on whether or not they go off. Customer service is just a joke because both Motorola and Sprint know the phones are faulty and yet they sell them without notifying the customer that the phones are defective. Then they pretend that 'resetting' the phone is going to fix it.

The customer service supervisor at Sprint said she could get me a new phone because they have a policy of allowing the customer to get up to three in the calendar year following purchase but she didn't want to do that because she wanted me to save 'that' for more serious issues.
When I said send me a new phone anyway she then said that doing so wouldn't fix my problem so she wouldn't send one out. I said 'well if that won't fix my problem then that tells me that you know all of these phones are defective and that you're just cheating everyone by not telling them and running us all around with this useless 'customer service'. I then insisted again that she send me a new phone since obviously I have the right to up to three new ones according to her and she reneged on her previous statement and refused again to do so. But she did say that my comments would go into 'the file' and be sent to 'corporate'. I'm still waiting.

"Phone is OK but Bluetooth interface is not acceptable." on by ofudge

Pros: Latest member of the Razr family with Alltel. Redesigned user interface.

Cons: The Bluetooth interface on the V20 does not automatically reconnect whit a headset after going out of range or after cycling power. The phone's bluetooth menu is the only way to get the Bluetooth device opeartional again. Seriois bug...

Summary: If the Bluetooth device is powered off and back on, the VE20 does not automatically reconnect. The same thing is true if the Blutooth device gets out of range. The only option is to use the VE20's menu interface to reconnect with the Bluetooth headset. This is a pain at best and can be a serious saftey hazard while driving. Bluetooth users be aware...

"My firs rzr and I like it a lot" on by dave7200

Pros: The looks, the display is easy to read on the inside and on the cover. Perfect ringer volume. The rubber on it makes it feal good to hold.

Cons: I dont have any yet

Summary: I like a phone that is simple to use. This one is simple and has a lot of cool things along with it. I have had nothing but LG phones for a long time as I didnt like my Motorola I had long ago but I like this one a lot. Its a very good phone.

"Better than the Razr2 V9m" on by xrmr

Pros: All in comparison to the Razr2:
    - No noticeable lag
    - Text messages aren't displayed on outside screen -- just the sender's name
    - 3.5mm jack
    - Phone is lighter, but feels better constructed
    - Better battery life

Cons: - Outer mirrored display is a ridiculous fingerprint magnet (but it really can be used as a mirror!)
    - Hinge feels a little wobbly side-to-side with phone closed

Summary: I've had this phone for 2 weeks now after my Razr2's display went out (cracked hinge). At first, I wasn't so thrilled to go back to a silver phone since the Razr2 was so sleek and sexy! I have since changed my opinion on the VE20.

The main improvement is the lack of lag time when I'm doing pretty much anything on the phone -- texting, bringing up my list of contacts, web stuff, even the time it takes for the display to come up when opening the phone! The Razr2 was PAINFULLY slow.

Another big improvement is that text messages aren't displayed on the outside screen for anyone who is near your phone to read. That bothered me about the Razr2, but it has since been resolved by just displaying the sender's name on the VE20.

Battery life is also much improved compared with the Razr2. Especially with bluetooth, the Razr2 would suck battery life like crazy! I would have to charge mid-day if I was on my headset a lot. The VE20 seems to have reasonable battery life, even with playing music through Pandora for a couple of hours.

Calls with and without the headset are clear. No complaints about the speakerphone. I used the 4 day free trial of Pandora and music quality was good as well. I also like the fact that there is now a jack for headphones, a wired headset, or speakers! I tried out connecting my phone to my computer speakers to try out Pandora...worked great.

Another small, but great improvement is the cover to the charging jack. The rubber part on my old Razr2 started ripping after a month of owning that phone. The one on the VE20 is made with a sturdier plastic that can swivel around easier.

All in all, this the VE20 is a great phone, especially if you're used to Razrs and can't seem to break away from them like I can't!
