"snapped in half like a twig :("
Pros: large screen, good photo quality, holds lots of contacts, strong signal strength and clarity
Cons: spring way too strong in hinge and literally broke itself...faulty design should be covered by manufacturer
Summary: I really did love this phone when I purchased it 11 months ago. It takes large, clear pictures, has great clarity and always keeps reception. I live in the middle of nowhere and I never drop calls while my sister's AT&T crap-phone (ie. I-phone) always looses reception and is sketchy at best.
I noticed 3 months ago that the plastic had cracked right below the hinge and was hanging on by a tiny little piece of plastic on the backside. When I went to Alltel to have it replaced, they were unhelpful because i didn't have the protection plan. Hey, the phone is 7 months old and it is obviously a manufacturer's defect if opening and closing the thing breaks the plastic. I kept the phone and was looking for parts on ebay. I was very careful, but alas it slipped from my hand while getting out of the car and smashed into 4 distinct pieces...a front, a back, and the 2 pieces of the hinge.
I have NEVER had a broken phone before and I have dropped them all. My phone doesn't have a scratch on it, none of them ever have, and now I have this p.o.s. and have to get a new phone. What is worse is that I have lost all of my contacts and photos...not the best phone I have ever had.
