"Great for music lovers, not for power users."
Pros: iTunes, style, thin
Cons: weak reception, slow iTunes music transfer, small internal memory
Summary: My previous phone was a Nokia and it's a give and take between the two. Nokia's interface was more intuitive but after getting use to Motorola's there's no big difference. Assigning buttons and shortcuts takes some time in the beginning but is worth it in the end.
The 100 song limit doesn't really matter to me as I would not be able to listen to that many songs during the day. At the end of the day I just hook it up to my computer and reload it with new songs to keep it fresh. I only fit about 80 songs at a time because all my songs are 192kbps and I still don't listen to all of them in a day.
The internal memory is too small for my taste. Since you can't use your iTunes songs for ringtones you have to save them to the internal memory. It's a good thing I'm not a big user of phone cam/video as there would be no room left.
The phone caps the limit on address book entries stored internally at 110 or 120, even though there is space remaining. The rest needs to be saved to the Sim card which can hold 250 more. Problem is that the entries stored internally are the only ones that can be customized into groups/id ringtones/phone # type/etc.
I have had no problems with battery life so far. Although, the phone charges through the USB connection everytime it's connected to a computer which I do every night to refresh my song list. This is a cause for shortened battery life since it's best to charge batteries when they're as close to empty as possible to limit the # of charges.
Even with all its pitfalls, this phone is perfect for me since I'm a hardcore music lover and a lite phone user. I find myself using the iTunes on this phone more than I make/receive calls. If you're occupation requires you to be on the phone constantly, the weak reception is a deal breaker. If you love all things music this is for you.
