"Horrible DON'T Buy it"
Pros: picture quality
Cons: hinge is loose, the ear piece crackes within 2 months
Summary: I got an i860 in October of 2004, then in Dec. i had to get a new one because it turned on and off by itself. Then in April i had to take it back and get a new one because the ear piece cracked. Now it is doing it again, it does this because you have to shut it hard to close and then the little rubber stoppers crack it. I think this is the worst Nextel i have ever owned ... i was in my room and i heard this noise.. it was my fone... i put it closer to my ear and it was clickin and noises... and it was gettin hot...i turned it off... i think it was going to exploded...i have had this fone for 4 months... this is my 2nd i860. my other one broke

My second 1860 died after 1 year. Would not turn on. My first one died after 2 months. It turned on and off. They would not replace the second phone stating water damage. Even though the phone was never near water... There are 2 sensors in the phone that if either one turns red they say water damage., Well moisture could do it. The bottom line is the phone did not broke cause of water.. It just died...

I purchased my nextel phone, received it on Halloween, 4 days ago. I have gone through 3 batteries and 2 i860's in 4 days. The battery would not hold a charge, (discharged overnight), even changed batteries, did the same thing. Got a 2nd phone, and then the charger said it was incompatible. Did the same thing on the 3rd phone, changed the charger, now waiting to see if battery discharges again. Advised nextel i would switch to another phone carrier if this happens again.

I would really take advice on a phone purchase from someone that can't even spell phone ... it's PHONE not FONE .. geez

Well guys, if you take care of your phone it will be good to you, i've had my phone since january 05, and i still have it with the factory plastic in the front, i've never had a problem with my phone because I TAKE CARE OF IT!!! i don't leave it around just anywhere, i always clean it up, my phone looks like if i bought it yesterday, i have a friend that bought his 3 months ago and it looks like he dragged it through the concrete, it's simple and plain, don't close it hard, don't bite the antenna, don't leave your phone sitting just anywhere, and please, buy a pouch, that clip is garbage, is a good thing i learned it from a friend because he had his first than me and he has it all scratched up in the front, that's why i bought a leather pouch, i have pics of my phone, let me know if you guys don't believe me so that i can send you a couple of pics!

I was told it was a screen saver so that your battery doesn't lose power so fast. Other than that I love the phone and yes i find that the cover does close hard but it hasn't broken yet.
