"Menus are painfully slow, freezes up on shut down."
Pros: Built for real life phone use.
Cons: Operating system requires more than the processor can handle. Voice Recognition required holding a button for several seconds several times to activate. Voice Recognition prompts have a fairly long delay and then a long chime before you can speak.
Summary: All functions seem to take a half a second longer than they should... everything is delayed. Even the start up graphics are jerky, indicating processor overload. I may just have a bad one, but now that I've synced it with my Outlook and have 600+ contacts and a many calendar events, it is very slow... Mine often freezes on shut down and I have to pull the battery out - mine is frozen right now, which is why I'm writing this review. I have experienced minimal dropped calls. It has talking phone functions. Yes this one can be set to read the menus, your email or texts to you... pretty kewl but not completely hands free and the volume can not be changed while in this function. If I simply have a bad one, then it may be a good phone, if they're all like mine then you should wait for a firmware fix. Overall My V3xx (2 years older) was technologically a far superior phone.

I have the same problems. All functions seem delayed, indicating processor overload. The phone frequently freezes on shutdown, requiring removal and replacement of the battery to restart. I just leave it on all the time now to avoid this.
Other Cons: This is supposed to be a rugged phone but after less than 3 months of use, the clear plastic screen over my mini-display is cracked clear through, although my phone has not ever been subjected to anything more intense than my pocket in a medical office environment or the cup holder in my car as I drive.
Pros: This phone gets good reception in areas where my children's LG phones drop calls. -
It's not just a bad phone. I got mine a few weeks ago and am experiencing the same - other than the freezing. The phone is slow to start up - very slow. Also the calls drop often. I have a motorola V365 and V3 and I loved them both so I got the Tundra - which I thought would have the good service the other two had if not better. I was sadly mistaken. I am giving the phone away. The reception is awful. The ear microphone is poor also. People always seem to sound muffled most times. My other two phones were very clear. I go in and out of places often and need to adjust the volume accordingly, but this phone does not allow for that without going through the menu or setting the shortcuts and going through screens that way. My other two phones are able to be turned down from the side volume bar. Very convenient. I am not impressed with this phone at all. Also have to hold the speed dial numbers down for an extended period of time to get them to dial. Completely diappointed.
