"The phone is ok except..."
Pros: Battery Life is good
Cons: Cracked front LCD screen
Summary: I have had the phone for about 8 months now. Right after I got it the front LCD screen cracked. I called Cingular and they said it was my fault; I must have dropped it. I never dropped the phone ever! I used the phone without the front screen, and my Cingular rep informed me that since Cingular has had so many complaints, that they are sending out replacement phones if the phone was made before a certain date.
I contacted the agent who I purchased my V180 phone from and she said:
"The bulletin we received on 3/17/2005 states that the V180 can have the following issue: Cracked LCD Lens - A rubber pad has been added under the CLI display as of 2/14/2005. Customers are to use Exchange by Mail at 1-800-801-1101 to get the phone replaced"
Cingular is now sending me a replacement V180 in the mail. They know of the problem and are attempting to fix it.
On the other hand, My wife loves hers and has had no problems.

Same story, LCD cracked, just didn't know it could be replaced. Since I use it as a phone, not inclied to fix it.
Good to know about Moto's bad quality, I will not buy more expensive stuff from them.
