"Good basic phone"
Pros: Reception, speaker
Cons: Contact list, speed dialing
Summary: I previously had the LG 6100 but it was damaged and replaced with the Motorola V276 by the Asurion insurance plan. I miss the large front screen and really large numbers when entering a phone number on the LG but signal reception does seem to be better with the Motorola.
The biggest difference is the Contact list. With the LG you could enter many different phone numbers into a single contact entry and access contacts by entering several letters so the list jumped to the correct entry. With the Motorola, every number becomes a separate contact entry and you can only enter one letter when searching contacts, so finding a contact requires a lot of scrolling.
Also on the LG you could display your speed dial list and speed dial all entries by holding down the last number. The name associated displayed immediately as you entered the speed dial number to confirm the entry. On the Motorola there is no way to display the speed dial list and you can only speed dial 1-9 by holding down the number. Additional speed dials require that you depress the Send key. Further, the name doesn't appear until the number is dialed so you have to remember your speed dials or you'll be making incorrect calls.
