"Puts function first"
Pros: full-featured, customizable
Cons: not the flashiest phone in Motorola's lineup
Summary: I am very satisfied with this phone, and am surprised it got such a mediocre rating on Cnet. It is a moderately priced, full-featured phone that puts functionality over flash. Sure it's not as sleek as the Razr, but if you are not a slave to fashion, that shouldn't be an issue. I think it is attractive enough, plus it does not break when I stick it in my back pocket and sit on it. The internal screen is great, and the external screen clearly displays the caller's name as well as allowing me to access other options such as changing the ring style without opening the phone (or making an annoying beeping sound just when I am trying to make it quiet!) The camera takes fine pictures and is good enough for my purposes. The Bluetooth works seemlessly, and with a little tweaking I got it to synchronize wirelessly with iSync on my Mac (address book and calendar), saving me hours of tedious data entry. The phone's picture and sound files are also easily accessible via Bluetooth on my computer. The battery life is very long, which is key for me. My favorite feature so far is the phone book, which can be made to show each person's name only once, yet allows me to scroll through their other phone numbers and email addresses horizontally. It summary, it is a dynamite phone that lacks only some useless flash.
