"Not very reliable"
Pros: Bluetooth, buttons, USB connection
Cons: Everything else
Summary: This phone comes across as a pretty sweet piece at first. Then you get to know it and realize that its just about as useful as an extra hole in your head... An extra hole in your head with Bluetooth!
***Aesthetics: The way it comes together at the bottom when shut is awkward. Although, the phone is a very nice color. However, new face plates do little to customize the phone due to the fact that only a small portion of the face can be replaced along with the battery cover (but even then, at the bottom of the battery cover is a silver part that you can't remove so you get a 3 color phone). Preloaded skins are all kind of ugly. Techno the least offensive IMO. Not many ringtones that anyone would actually use come with it, either.
***Usability: For one thing, I wish Motorola would decide which freaking side of the phone they are going to put their call and end keys on! This is my 3rd Motorola in a row, and they swapped these keys back and forth on all 3 phones, but on my friends Motorola, they're again switched. I don't get it. Whatever. Butttons are tight, but not unusable. They did slow my texting speed a little, but I have to go back and delete extra letters less often. Interface is good, you can change the menu from icons to list (who the hell uses icons?) and there's a lot of customizability there. You can set up pretty much every key except the dial pad to do what ever you want. I do like plugging it into my comuter with a standard USB cable to recharge it, though.
***Sounds: Preloaded ring tones are your standard crap. Nothing to write home (or on the internet) about. As for the 3 skins that come with the phone, each one has some major draw back that makes it undesirable. Speaker phone is good and loud, as is the handset speaker. Rings are loud, and choice of ring/vibrate style is very good (I.E. Ring & Vibrate, Ring then Vibrate ect.). MP3 player is worthless. It would make a great paper weight if I could remove it from the phone, I guess. Why'd they bother wasting the effort to add this option and then make it mono??????? A briliant scientist thought of this and was paid well to do it. I can hear the convo in the R&D dept now: "That's Dr. Worthless. I didn't attend 8 years of worthless university to be called Mr."
***Reliability: There's nothing good to say here. Leaving my mothers advice by the way-side, here we go: This phone is less than 7 months old, was used lightly, and has recently grown an affinity for cycling its self on and off. Not to mention it's been buggy since the get-go. Out of the box its display time-out function has persevered through thick and thin regardless of how I set it. You can set your inbox to hold 99 messages, but it sees fit to be full at 30. I thought that this might change if I tried to force-feed it more than 30 messages, but this phone is clearly on a diet. After reaching 30, it refused all incoming messages. It didn't just delete the first message and accept the new one. That would have made too much sense. And to add insult to injury, you can't set the messages to be saved on the mini SD that you wasted $50 on because you thought the MP3 player was stereo. So now I have a Mini SD card I don't need.
***Battery: Not memoryless as advertised. It takes a few more times of recharging it w/o completely discharging to cause a memory, but it now wears out in less than 24 hours of stand-by, conciderably less with any talk time thrown in. Am I overlooking something when I think all rechargables should be NiMH? Those have no memory, good MaH ratings, and are competatively priced (as AA's and AAA's anyway).
***Overall: This phone performs one function flawlessly. It disappoints with such a passion, you'd think it was a pricey option you paid for. Wait a minute, I did pay for it. Thankfully T-Mobile seems to be understanding since they offered me a free swap which I greedily accepted without even asking "with what phone?". The lady from CS had to ask me if I wanted to know.

I think your just pissed off cuz you got a crap one, a lemon, a defective one. Hey I got a Sanyo 2300 I get like 2 days battery life at best 3ish and I don't seem to care. The sanyo's like 40 bucks less then this phone and has... lets see... nothing. This phone has so many 8-10 rateings, I just think you got a crap version. Motorola was one of the first cell companies, and make the best cell phones out there, the only company who can come close is Samsung but thier phones can come at a higher price (depending on provider). Don't diss a good phone so badly cuz urs sucked, and sure ur opinions are vallaid but with all the good reviews it gets u just got a peice of crap so no need to be so touchy about your review, if I get a crap phone I bring it back I mean within the period you have to test it you can figure out if its any good.

Most of your remarks are quite overstated, but one of them just untrue. In the time of most heavy usage, my phone lasts for at least 2 days, but normally 4-5 days. I've tested it in stand-by - the battery stands about 7 days. I have to mention that on other carriers it stands even longer.
