"Terrific phone, no regrets"
Pros: Sound quality, ring volume, comfort
Cons: Alarm Clock, exterior speakerphone button
Summary: After being with TMobile for the past 7 years, we switched to Verizon without any remorse. This phone is terrific. Comfortable feel, decent battery life. We had a Motorola Razr and a Motorola V360; this device is much better than both units, especially the soft keypad and "rubberized" exterior.
Battery does get "warm" but I think that is a provider issue. Our Motorola's with TMobile never heated up.
Exterior caller ID is not in color nor does it have the ability to have it's own wallpaper (like the Razr) which is a very minor detail (to us) but thought we'd mention it. The caller id being length wise and not width is fine with us.
One small negative is the alarm clock. In all of the previous Motorola devices we have had over the years, the alarm clock worked whether device was on or off. Unfortonately, the alarm clock does NOT work in the off mode.
The exterior speakerphone button is located where it's easy to accidentally activate. Not a big deal, we just need to adjust the way we hold our phones and all is well.
Camera takes decent pictures. If you want better pictures, then you should be using a digital camera.
Fits easily into pant pocket...so comfortably that it's easy to forget it's there so be careful not to toss your pants into the washer too quickly! We were considering smartphone and glad we chose this device; Dell Axim X50v (pocket pc) still works for us and we still have a device that can fit in the pocket.
Verizon not so bad either. We were so comfortable with TMobile but let's face it, in NM, they can't compare with Verizon's coverage.
Hope the above helps.

You mentioned that the battery tends to get warm and this really worries me when it comes to making a decision. I currently have a samsung u540 but it has a couple annoying quirks and this motorola was one I was also interested in. The thing is this would be my ONLY phone so if it gets hot with say a 30 minute call that would be a big problem for me. The samsung barely gets warm at all (I have verizon too).

I know this is a question, but the poster
says the caller id info is on the front b/w screen and the reviewer on Amazon says there is no caller id on the front screen.
