The Bottom Line The NEC N908 is a beautiful design-centric phone with a luscious touch screen interface. Dialing and texting were a bit difficult due to the lack of a keypad, so it's not a phone for everyone. But those who love compact and uniquely beautiful handsets will not be disappointed. Despite some design issues and a couple of missing features, the Motorola Droid is the most powerful and fastest Google Android device to date. It fully embraces the openness of the Android platform and offers Verizon customers a smartphone that certainly rivals the other touch-screen devices on the market. The Samsung SCH-u740's dual-flip design and QWERTY keyboard are great for text-messaging fans, and its impressive feature set seals its deal as one of Verizon's strongest multimedia handsets. The Samsung Eternity succeeds as a multimedia device, but without Wi-Fi and full e-mail support, it stops well short of being a business-friendly device. The Neonode N2 held great promise as a cute and innovative touch-screen phone, but its steep learning curve and expensive price point keep us from recommending it.
