"Finally, a simple basic phone!"3.5 starson by mrvolvo371
Pros: Small, lightweight, simple to use, no flip or slide, and the battery lasts a long time. Easily customizable buttons, speakerphone, text and multimedia messaging. Did I mention the battery lasts a looooong time? Very inexpensive.
Cons: No Bluetooth capability - Nuts!
Summary: I have been keeping an eye out for a Nokia phone of this type, to replace my 85 year old mother's worn out old Nokia candy bar phone. She didn't need a camera, she doesn't know how to text, but she needed a simple phone to replace her old one. The Nokia 2320 fit the bill perfectly. It rings loudly enough for her poor hearing and the controls are almost identical to her old Nokia. Upon teaching her to use it over several days, I was amazed at how long the battery lasts - much longer than the battery in my Nokia 6126.
After thinking about how my well used 3 year old Nokia 6126 was in need of another battery, I decided instead to just buy another Nokia 2320 (for close to the cost of a battery alone). I really didn't use the camera very much but I wanted texting and MediaNet capability. I like the simplicity of no moving parts to break and it's a lot thinner and lighter than my old phone, but with a bigger battery! The only shortcoming I could identify is the lack of Bluetooth for hands free use and moving files to/from my laptop.
My mom and I are both using our Nokia 2320 phones on our regular monthly AT&T service, not as prepaid Go-Phones.
It's about time Nokia brought back a basic phone. If you're looking for a simple, user-friendly phone with useful features and good call quality for very little money, this is the one.
