    "Worst phone I've ever owned."

    by sj1436 on October 5, 2008

Pros: The 2366i was the only stylish looking non-camera phone I could find at the time. It really is a nice looking phone, but the advantages stop there.

Cons: This is the most user unfriendly phone I have ever owned. The menu is unintuive. The ringtone and vibrate features are not very prominent. The earpiece receptacle is a little quirky too. I also had to have it replaced once.

Summary: I am fairly technology savvy. With past phone brands that I've had, I never had trouble navigating through the menus. In fact, with previous phones, I would never even have to open the instruction manuals to personalize my settings or operate the phone. With this phone, I had to look at the manual to figure out how to change the ringtones and turn it to vibrate, which should be a simple thing to do.
The other problem is you can't even tell when it's ringing. I have the ringtone and vibrate settings turned all the way up and still have trouble hearing or feeling it ring. Another weird thing about this phone is that if I am in the middle of a call and decide to plug my ear piece in, it will actually hang up on the person that I am talking to. I thought maybe it was a problem with this one phone, but that's not the case.
After a while my 2366i stopped accepting a charge when plugged in (yet another problem). When I took it to my cell phone dealer, I could only exchange it for another 2366i because I was not eligible to receive a brand new phone yet. When I got my new 2366i from Nokia, it still had the same low ring/vibrate volume and it would still hang up on people if I plugged in an earpiece during the middle of a call. So it must be something about this particular model. I am still confused as to why someone would design a phone to hang up if you plug in an earpiece. At any rate, I am eligible to get a new phone soon, and I can tell you that won't be a Nokia this time.
