"Works great acceptable batt life and great reception"5.0 starson by jimbus1
Pros: stiff buttons
not too small
Cons: I don't use texting but was told this phone is cumbersome especially because the keys are stiff.
Screen not as bright as it could be.
Summary: I like the idea the buttons are a bit hard to press. It is a candybar phone with the buttons exposed and that reduces the chance of false input.
I live much of the time in the mountains of Costa Rica where the reception is usually bad at best. At my home I can not get any connection at all with my SAMSUNG Rugby which is a good phone with bad battery life. The Rugby does work fine in San Jose. But the Nokia 2730 had 4 bars and the connection was solid from every part of the house. With the Rugby I have to go about a kilometer to get solid reception. I don't know if I am frying my brain when using this powerfull little unit but the alternative is to have a phone that serves as a paper weight.
This phone is smallish but large enough to hold comfortably
It is just a phone with some doodads not a complex personal computing device which makes it easy to use and easy to learn. I use a phone as a phone so this is great. Mine is unlocked so I can travel to the USA and simply insert a pay as you go SIM when in the USA. It doesn't work the other way around in Costa Rica because you can't get a number there unless you are a resident.
